After School Nature Explorers Club<br />
Nature Explorers Club is designed for school-age children (ages 6-10,<br />
K-5 th ) who are interested in investigating the natural world. Each month<br />
we will explore a different ecology topic, focusing on our own native<br />
plants and animals. We will make a craft to take home, go on a nature<br />
hike, dip-net for fish and tadpoles in the ponds and get to know the<br />
plants and animals of the Bayou City! Fee/reservations are required.<br />

OWL PROWLS<br />
Houston Audubon Docent Guild sponsors 4 owl prowls for the 2017-<br />
18 season. Owl prowls begin with a lively program on owls including<br />
an opportunity to meet live, rehabilitated owls followed by a walk in<br />
the woods in search of wild owls. For more information, to reserve<br />
and pay online go to www.houstonaudubon.org. Owl Prowl dates are<br />
<strong>February</strong> 2, <strong>2018</strong> and March 9, <strong>2018</strong>. Owl Prowls start at 7 PM, end at 9<br />
PM and begin in the log cabin at the Edith L Moore Nature Sanctuary.<br />
The fee is $12 for adults and $8 for children (ages 6-17). All prowlers<br />
must be at least 6 years of age and there must be at least one adult<br />
present for each two children. Dress for walking in the woods and the<br />
weather. Please park in the Memorial Drive United Methodist Church<br />
west parking lot at 12955 Memorial Drive or the Sanctuary’s small lot<br />
at 440 Wilchester. Pre-registration is required and there is a maximum<br />
number of participants for each prowl.<br />
