Explore at Home Show<br />
THE DOORS will open tomorrow on<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Star</strong> Home & Leisure Show, where<br />
more than 150 exhibits, a series of home<br />
inspiration seminars and three brand new<br />
playhouses are waiting to be explored.<br />
<strong>The</strong> show is set to run on Friday,<br />
Saturday and Sunday, with entry free<br />
tomorrow only, thanks to sponsorship<br />
from Professionals Christchurch.<br />
Three playhouses designed and built<br />
by Canterbury teams will feature at the<br />
show this year, and will be auctioned on<br />
Saturday for charity.<br />
<strong>The</strong> best playhouse will be judged by a<br />
panel of professionals – but they will also<br />
be judged by schoolchildren visiting the<br />
show, who can vote for their favourite<br />
before the auction.<br />
<strong>The</strong> money raised will go<br />
to Birthright Canterbury,<br />
which supports single parent<br />
families in need, and Tenants<br />
Protection Association<br />
Christchurch, which works<br />
to protect and support<br />
tenants.<br />

manager Rhodora Sagles<br />
said the playhouses were<br />
spectacular, and she could<br />
see them suiting families, pre-schools or<br />
business play areas.<br />
<strong>The</strong> teams creating the playhouses were<br />
Fusion Homes with Scratch Architecture;<br />
Irving Builders with PXA Architects; and<br />
Pound Road Trading.<br />

is $8 for adults and free for under-12s<br />
