WWII Living History Weekend

Axis-Allied re-enactment group on site over the
weekend. On this visit to the museum, the group
will be portraying the German and Italian Prisoners
of War who were held at Eden Camp and across
the country. Our mess hut will be used to recreate
one of the prisoner barracks with static displays,
and members of the group will occupy themselves
with authentic work and pastimes. Children will
be supervised, no need for parents to stay! Parents
invited at 3pm for a sharing. Ages 8-12

opportunity for amateur and professional artists
to celebrate creativity side by side in the Ferens Art

remember and some you have never heard of, but
this exhibition will give people of all ages plenty to
get their hands on.

Fab feb family fun
at Lightwater Valley
Lightwater Valley is inviting families with
younger children the chance to enjoy a
fabulous February Half Term – whatever the
weather.
Aimed at the Under 8s and running from Feb
14th-18th Fab Feb Family Fun features a host
of fantastic indoor and outdoor events and
activities on offer throughout the holidays.
With no fewer than 20 different attractions to explore there’s
something for everyone including lots of child-friendly rides and giant
indoor inflatables to enjoy.
The Angry Birds Activity Park and Angry Birds Space will be open
along with the Lightwater Bird of Prey Centre which feature more
than 50 amazing raptors, mammals and reptiles.
Families will also be able to visit the Riggmoor Mobile Farm with lots
of cute and cuddly animals for you to pet and feed, including rabbits,
lambs, piglets, miniature ponies, cows and alpacas.
Rides and activities open at Fab Feb Family Fun: Skyrider, Eagles’
Creek Farm, Carousel, Eagles’ Claw, Trauma Tower, Ladybug, Space
Pirates, Noah’s Ark, Human Cannonball, Angry Birds Activity Park,
Angry Birds Space, Indoor Soft Play, Bouncy Castles, Pirate Assault
Course, Giant Slide, Pillow Bash, Animal Feeding, Lightwater Bird of
Prey Centre, Reptile Handling and Petting Farm.
Due to the popularity of this event tickets must be pre-booked online,
payment on the day is not available. Pre-bookings must be made by
midnight on the day before you wish to visit and cannot be made for
the same day. Tickets cost £6.75 per person.
