The best concerts in town
Even in the winter, the city is bustling with people day and night. New restaurants, bars and pubs pop up every other
week, making sure no one gets bored in the evenings. While partygoers have to wait a few months for open-air festivals
and concerts, trendy indoor venues offer varied music and fun in the meantime.
AKVÁRIUM, which is a favorite meeting point in the city, is located on Erzsébet Square. The steps leading to the club are
usually packed with people, while the actual concert hall is under an artificial lake. February highlights include Hungarian
drum and bass band, Brains on the 10th, Esti Kornél, a local alternative rock band plays on the 16th, while Anna and the
Barbies – known for their crazy costumes and alternative rock hits – take the stage on the 17th. A38 SHIP, a former Ukrainian
stone-carrier ship, hosts the local pop band, Spencer Hill Magic Band on the 2nd, Ladánybene 27 pays a tribute to Bob Marley
on the 9th, while Parno Graszt plays on the 16th when it is all about world music and the Roma culture. For smooth jazz tunes,
head to the BUDAPEST JAZZ CLUB. Törõcsik Franciska debuts her new record with Halper Experiment on the 4th, popular jazz
duo, Micheller Myrtill and Pintér Tibor play on the 6th, while Harcsa Veronika and a number of local artists take the stage on

AMIGO BAR A swinging joint dedicated to all
things rockabilly and Elvis, this three-level bar
