MESSAGE FROM YOUR HOA BOARD OF DIRECTORS<br />

Greetings fellow homeowners:<br />

We hope that all of you had a safe and enjoyable holiday season. 2017 was<br />

a busy year for your HOA. Improvements were made in the fitness room<br />

of 7 new windows, upgrading the access control unit to the fitness room,<br />

upgrade and new security cameras at <strong>Cypress</strong> <strong>Mill</strong> II and <strong>Cypress</strong> <strong>Mill</strong> I as<br />

well the tennis/basketball area. The completion of the remodeling of the<br />

restrooms at <strong>Cypress</strong> <strong>Mill</strong> I. The repairs where needed and power washing<br />

of <strong>Cypress</strong>wood Drive and <strong>Cypress</strong> <strong>Mill</strong> Park fence line.<br />

Currently new doors will be installed, if not already at the clubhouse and<br />

the fitness room door that is in dire need of an upgrade. The clubhouse<br />

doors will have an access control unit in place for entry.<br />

Visit with Santa was a complete success this past 2017 season with earlier<br />

hours. A special thank-you goes out to all the volunteers who help make<br />

this event a success.<br />

The Easter egg hunt event will be on March 31, <strong>2018</strong> at 8:30 AM to 11 AM.<br />

Come out and join us at the clubhouse there will be a DJ, Easter bunny<br />

bring your camera for photos, train rides and more.<br />

If you would like to volunteer for any of the existing events/celebrations,<br />

please contact our assistant community manager, Angela Rivera.<br />

At the next annual meeting, there will be HOA Board positions becoming<br />

open in April. If you are interested in serving our community and would like<br />

to run for a position on the HOA Board, please contact Emma Deatherage<br />

for more information. Our community managers handle the day-to-day<br />

operations of the neighborhood under the direction of the HOA Board. If<br />

you have a special interest in our neighborhood, now is the time to act and<br />

become a part of the HOA Board.<br />

Spring is just around the corner so don’t forget a little TLC for your yards;<br />

fertilize your grass to encourage healthy new growth.<br />

INVESTMENTS BY DEVELOPING A CONSISTENT<br />

MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE<br />

By doing some simple preventative maintenance, you can extend the life<br />

of your home and minimize costly repairs.<br />

Painting - It is important to put a good coat of paint on your home which<br />

may mean painting every three to five years on an average, depending<br />

on the quality of the paint. Painting obviously improves the appearance<br />

of your home and protects your wood or hardiplank from the elements<br />

reducing rot. Don’t forget your ACC application along with paint color<br />

samples, which must be processed and approved first!<br />

Power washing - Take a walk around your property. If you see green<br />

or black mildew on your home and driveway, you can power wash the<br />

mildew off your gutters, home exterior, driveway and sidewalk. This small<br />

step of maintenance can keep your property looking well maintained.<br />

Gutters - Gutters need to be cleaned out on a regular basis. This time<br />

of year they fill up with pine needles and leaves. If the gutters are full of<br />
