Wear red for the day
On Wednesday 14th February we are inviting
children to come to school in something red!
We are asking for a small donation —all donations
will go to the British Heart Foundation.

World Book Day – Thursday 1 st March
This year our theme for World Book Day is ‘Classic
Texts’. During the week we will be exposing the children
to different classic texts (see below). On Thursday
1 st March we would love all children to come
dressed up as a character from a book. It would be
fantastic if they could come as a character from a
classic text as it links with the theme, however, if they
have burning desire to dress as another book character
then that’s also fine! There are many classic texts but
here are some ideas:
Jungle Book, Black Beauty, The Lion the Witch and the
Wardrobe, The Wizard of Oz, Oliver Twist, Frankenstein,
The Little Princess, The Runaway Children, Gulliver’s
Travels, Alice in Wonderland, The Secret Garden,
Pippi Longstocking and Great Expectations.
