Pasture Drinkers<br />
How it works<br />
The animal pushes the lever forward with its head. The tie rod lifts the<br />
membrane and draws water into the membrane cham<strong>be</strong>r.<br />
Gravity and the tension in the membrane push the lever backwards again.<br />
The water is forced out of the membrane cham<strong>be</strong>r and flows into the<br />
Drinking Trough. The non-return valves ensure that the water is always<br />
drawn up and pumped in the right direction.<br />

Some of the pumped water remains on the upper side of the membrane and<br />
flows into the Drinking Trough as soon as the membrane is reactivated during<br />
the next cycle, i.e. when the animal presses the lever again (double-stroke<br />
