Seasoning Your Words: God’s recipe for controlling your tongue (Part 1)
Dates: BLOCK 2 May 6- June 16 | Instructor: Evelyn Hoover
How tasteful are your words? "For the ear tests words as the tongue tastes food" (Job 34:3).
Words can be sweet or bitter; they can build up or they can tear down. God says, "Let you
conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt" (Colossians 4:6). Nancy Eichman has
searched the Scripture for God's wisdom on words. She has found that the Bible is filled with
examples and advice about the kind of speech God desires. If you ever have trouble,
controlling your tongue, saying something you shouldn't, or failing to say something you
should, then this practical and easy-to-understand study is for you. Only the seasoning of
God's wisdom can produce speech that is tasteful to all.
Never Say Never
Dates: BLOCK 4 August 19 - September 29 | Instructor: N/A
Did you ever wonder why the apostle Paul advised early Christians to "season" their words in
Colossians 4:6? Could it be he knew they may eventually have to eat some of them? This
topical study for women looks at some areas where we can prepare ourselves for those times
we might be tempted to declare..."NEVER." This book teaches from the Scriptures that we
should learn to carefully think before bursting forth with something we may later regret.
