Step Out
I always believe that 2000
years ago, we have already
been set free by our Savior.
We have already been freed
from the prison of shame,
guilt and sin. Sad to say that
today, young people tend to
stay imprisoned. Imprisoned
with the lies of the world.
Imprisoned with depression.
Imprisoned with their past
sins. Imprisoned with the
comments of other people.
Imprisoned with guilt.
Imprisoned with vices.
I remember one story
when a man asked God’s help
to be set free from a cage.
Man: “Lord, set me free!
Please set me free from this
cage. I don’t want to be here
anymore!”
God: “Are you sure my child?
Do you really want to be set
free from that cage?”
Man: “Yes Lord! Set me
free!!!”
God: “Again my son, are you
sure? Do you really want to
be set free from that cage?”
Man: “Yes!!!! I do want to be
set free! Please Lord! Set me
free!”
God: “ Okay my child. Listen
to my instructions. Push the
door of the cage. It is never
locked. Step out of the
cage!”
In this brand new series, be
set free from the chains that
bind you. Step out of the
cage that traps you from
achieving your dreams. Do
not be afraid to unleash the
love God within you.

Deadma. Sometimes we feel that
GOD is deadma to our cries for help.
There are times when we seem convinced
that our FATHER in heaven ignores our
pleas. Unanswered prayers, failures and
disappointments can lead to anger and
resentment towards the LORD. These
feelings are like cancer that can spread and
erode our trust in HIM.
When bad things happen to us or to the
people we love, how should this affect our
relationship with GOD? In the face of evil
that seems to fluorish in our world today,
how are we supposed to hold on to our
faith in JESUS?
PRAISEcription: 1 dose of faith in the
morning. 1 dose of hope in the afternoon.
1 dose of love in the evening.

May Tampo Ako Sa Diyos
“I’m angry at God.”
Those four words
shot out of her lips like
explosives, shattering the
silence in the memorial
chapel. With her bloodshot
eyes. Tired from endless
crying, sho looked at me for
answers. I didn’t have any.
The day before, her
8-year-old daughter died
on the operating table. And
her pale body was now in a
white dress, inside a white
coffin.
I couldn’t say a single
word. I wrapped my arms
around the shaking figure of
the mother and wept with
her.
Today, we start our
amazing series on anger
and unforgiveness titled,
UNLEASHED. And we start
this series with a twist:
What do we do with our
tampo with God when He
doesn’t answer our prayer?
It’s going to be a wild
ride this month.

Loud Talk 3: Expansion
Human Nature: LOVE

Fr. Joel Rescober said last Friday
that we should learn to abide with the
examples of Jesus Christ and keep in
mind the mission given to us by the
Father – to do what is right.
He advised that spreading goodness,
instead of contributing to something evil
makes us faithful to our mission.
“Kaya wag na tayo sumama sa
masama. Paramihin natin ang kabutihan.
Sa bandang huli, totoong kabutihan ang
nananalo,” said Fr. Joel in his homily
during the celebration of the Holy
Eucharist at The Feast SM Manila at SM
City Manila Cinema 4.
The priest presider stated that,
through the readings, we would learn
not to surrender to our evil inclinations
given that evil, injustices, and cruelties
still exist and are still rampant today.
As for him, we dislodge the people
around us because of greed, jealousy,
and competition, like what was told in
the first reading where Joseph’s brothers
sold him to the Egyptians, and in the
gospel reading where the workers killed
the heir.
According to Fr. Joel, our selfishness
pushes us to do bad things, however, we
must not forget that we’re all molded in
the image and likeness of God.
“If we have that nature to become
selfish, do not forget that we also have
the nature to love, and to serve and to
do good things,” he added.
Your mission STARTS NOW

Last Friday, Bro. Philip Sumera
declared that ‘now’ is the right time to
start the things we are called and aimed
to do.
“While you are still young, God is
telling you, ‘Be my blessing. Be my
embrace. Be my forgiveness. Be my
hope. Be my love ‘cause I love you. Do
it today,’” said Bro. Philip during his talk
for the third installment, Expansion, of
the series entitled LOUD: Listening to
the Voices of Today, of The Feast SM
Manila at SM City Manila, Cinema 4.
Because ‘today’ in our lives is a gift,
The Feast leader told us that, rather
than postponing things because of some
excuses, we should always choose to act
upon the things we ought to do before it
is too late.
On the other hand, The Feast
SM Manila’s M.D. Session preacher, Dr.
Ryan Capitulo, also declared that God
is challenging us to commit to Him as
early as now. As it was told in the holy
scripture that many have said yes when
they were called by God even at an early
age – like Mary, David and Jeremiah
– he said that God also challenges to
expand our commitment and service to
Him in the same way.
He further stated that while we, the
Light of Jesus Family, challenges the
younger generations to expand their
love, service and commitment for the
Lord, we, also, are totally committed to
walk with them throughout the journey.
“We will always speak your language,
not ours. We will always sing your songs.
We will always die to our preferences
so that you will feel at home in our
community. We will always enter your
world. We will always listen to your
heartbeat. We will always walk beside
you as your family in this journey called
life, but please give us the chance to
walk beside you,” said Doc Ryan.
Meanwhile, Bro. Lep has mentioned
during the first and second sessions
that we must be careful for, sometimes,
in times of troubles, delays are devil’s
tactics. He emphasized that we must not
be shaken by the negativities or by such
delays because the devil’s tactics would
be nothing against the stronger grace of
God in our lives.
