Annual Banquet (Continued from page 1)
Much anticipated guest speaker Deadra Stanton
entertained the crowd with her unique brand of
humor and motivational messaging. In keeping
with the theme of the evening, Deadra challenged
the audience to overcome adversity and remain
persistent in the pursuit of growth and success
with sidesplitting anecdotal stories of her own
successes and failures. All were encouraged to
capitalize on the momentum which has continued
to build in our area over the past year and
use it as a springboard for even greater achievement
in years to come.
As the evening drew to a close, the Fairmont
Area Chamber announced the winners of
the 2017 Business of the Year Awards. Award
winners were acknowledged for setting the standard
for excellence and innovation in business
practice and community involvement. Awards
were given for Large Business, Small Business,
New Business (Rising Star), and Non-Profit of the
year. We would like to thank Center for Specialty
Care, Fairmont Area Life, JL Computers and MRCI
for sponsoring our 2017 Annual Banquet.
