The Yesterday And Tomorrow People<br />
Pocklington Arts Centre’s very own Wolds<br />
Wonders Drama Group adults with learning <strong>and</strong><br />
other disabilities. The theme is time travel with<br />
a difference. It involves the group discovering<br />
something like a time machine, by accident (more<br />
akin to Alice in Wonderl<strong>and</strong> than Doctor Who). As<br />
well as a Wolds Wonders’ view of life hundreds<br />
of years into the past <strong>and</strong> the future, you will be<br />
captivated by some original songs, humorous<br />
drama, exciting dance <strong>and</strong> the joyful exuberance<br />

The Queen <strong>and</strong> the Jester<br />
Stupid, Stupid Songs & Some Very Sensible Stories.<br />
The Queen is obsessed with the notion of love.<br />
She calls upon her Royal Court Jester to come up<br />
with a song that might reflect her true feelings for<br />
the object of her desire. However, the Royal Court<br />
Jester is a law unto himself <strong>and</strong> knows better than<br />
to p<strong>and</strong>er to the Queen’s fickle fancies. Join him in<br />
his attempt to pacify her Highness, whilst amusing<br />
the Royal Subjects. Will he keep his head intact?<br />

storyteller Alim Kamara lights up the stage with<br />
his contemporary rhythmical storytelling that<br />

energy performance full of laughter <strong>and</strong> joy.<br />
We’re thrilled to be welcoming Alim back to Settle<br />
after he delighted audiences at the Festival of<br />
Happiness, 2017.<br />

A menacing boar, a cunning huntsman <strong>and</strong> a<br />
tongue remembered... Follow the story of this<br />
Bradfordian Folktale from the 1300’s. The real<br />
question is; is the beast the biggest threat here?<br />
A multidisciplinary storytelling performance<br />
using live music, projection, spoken word, visual<br />
projections <strong>and</strong> sound which all conspire to engage<br />
