The North Shore Senior Center (NSSC) is headquartered in<br />
<strong>Northfield</strong> and serves older adults and their families throughout<br />
Chicago’s northern suburbs by offering a wide range of social<br />
services, fitness and health programs, lifelong learning classes<br />
and programs, volunteer opportunities, and adult day services<br />
and programs for those with memory loss. Individuals and family<br />
members are encouraged to call NSSC, 847-784-6000, with any<br />
question related to their services.<br />
Primarily a social service agency, NSSC is also a fabulous place to<br />
learn, keep healthy and give back to the community. Corporate<br />
and individual rates are available for adults of all ages in the Fitness<br />
Center. The National Institute of Senior Centers of the National<br />
Council on the Aging accredits NSSC. NSSC social services and<br />
adult day services are accredited by CARF<br />

The House of Welcome (HOW) adult day services of the North<br />
Shore Senior Center is located in <strong>Northfield</strong> providing specialized<br />
adult day services for those with memory loss from Alzheimer’s<br />
disease and other dementias. HOW offers educational programs,<br />
a Day Program, an Alzheimer’s Family support group, and Mind<br />
Matters, a group program for persons with early memory loss.<br />
