PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

T
he WIWAG was a success with
39 graduates from the different
Universities here and around
Northern Mindanao. I want to thank the
Rotarian facilitators, Dir Gus Rodano and
Rtn Rey Lomarda for a job well done.
The WIWAG workshop together with the
Bato Balani Foundation was held at the
HRM Building of Liceo de Cagayan University.
It was the turn of Liceo to host
this workshop. After the graduation , I
signed MOU’s with partner schools Cagayan
de Oro College , Capitol University ,
STI and Liceo de Cagayan University for
the continuance of this project next
school year. Testimonies of the students
made us feel good because the feedback
was very positive. Here’s hoping to another
round of workshops during the
term of PE Danny Empedrad . VP Juls
Dulfo , Dir Leony Quicoy , Rtn Ben Booc
and PE Danny were with us in the 3 day
workshop.
The Balubal Project is nearing it’s completion
and I would like to thank the

kind hearts of the Rotarians who donated
to make the project complete. We
received a total of P8,500 in cash to augment
the P 125,000.00 given by Rotary
International to renovate the Centre. To
date , we have renovated the dental
through , the walls , the ceiling , the 2
bathrooms , installed a water tank and
repaired the back portion of the centre
which needed cement plastering and
painting. PAG and Dir John Mark Sarraga
will advise us when we can turn this over
to the Barangay. I am hoping that
this will be done before the end of
March.
I am also requesting your assistance and
presence to the other additional projects
to be implemented this March. These
projects together with the Rotary Anns is
very worthwhile especially that it will be
a gift giving to abandoned children and
the second is the distribution of basic
necessities to the Old and mentally challenged
ordinary folks who are housed in
