FÁBRICA DE TALENTOS 2017
One of the most
representative
achievements of
IMEC since its
foundation was
the partnership
m a d e i n
association with
t h e S t a t e
government and
C o n d e c a –
C o n s e l h o
E s t a d u a l d o s
D i r e i t o s d a
C r i a n ç a e d o
Adolescente. For
12 months, we
h a d t h e g r e a t
honor of working
with 85 teenagers
teaching them
about Brazilian
culture as well as
t h e E n g l i s h
language. The
course was totally
free of charge and
not only helped
those teenagers
adopt better life
habits but also
g a v e t h e m a
c h a n c e t o
d e v e l o p t h e i r
speaking skills in
English.
IMEC submitted
another Project
last year and, if
approved, we are
ready to hold one
more edition of
our Project this
y e a r . C h e c k

moments of our
Project!

where we selected the students to
participate in the Project.
Once selected, students received for free
all the materials that were used during the
course.
Besides Brazilian culture classes, our students
had English language classes. Thanks to the
system adopted by The House, conversation
was stimulated since the very first day.
Our students participated in the Congresso
Bahia São Paulo da Capoeira Regional and
could learn from the great masters of Bahia.
Students filling out the form that was used
to screen the potential candidates for the
Project. We collected more than 250
forms!
The Brazilian Culture classes involved
notions o four history: the formation of our
people, our root characteristics and our
traditions.
In the middle o four Project, Prof. Dr. Lindsay
Puente visited our classes and had a chance to
talk to our students. She got impressed by the
students´ ability to speak!

probably seen in other articles here.
