CHARITY STARTS AT SCHOOL
The John Fisher School continues to support charities through mufti days and
other fundraising events. Each House has a charity which it supports and it
will be undertaking a fundraising activity later in the year. However, many year
groups, forms and societies are raising awareness and money for charities.
This term we have raised money for:
Over £900 for the ‘Aid to
Churches’ appeal which is
helping to support those
in desperate need in Syria.
This will help maintain front
line supplies and medicine.
We are excited about the
impact we can have on our
House charities after Easter
as we move towards House
charity fundraising events.

The South-East cancer charity
received £1,000 from the First
Give initiative as wining form 9C
choose them as their charity.
The donation will go towards
helping support victims of cancer
and their families.
Save the Children will
receive £167 from the staff
‘Christmas Jumper’ collection
on Friday 15th December
to help provide care
and support for children
around the world.
8C have been collecting old
clothes to send over to France
for the refugees in desperate
need of support. The form
group, supported by Head of
House Mr. Barry, also raised
£50 towards the charity. Miss
Johnson, 8C form tutor, said,
