John Fisher students Joe Brown
and Sean Purtell have been chosen
by a senior music producer to
sing on the charity choir album (as
representatives of DSM foundation)
‘We all stand together’- This
is great for the boys concerned,
the music department and the DSM
foundation who we have supported
Huge congratulations to L. Roots
(Year 12) who won gold at The
Scottish Open Championships.
The final was a 15 minute battle but
Logan pulled through for the gold.
It was only his second competition
at a higher weight group.
He is now ranked 6th in the UK.
Also in the previous Midlands
championships he won 3 out of 4
fights to gain a bronze in the new
weight for the first time
Year 11 undertook a ‘Walking Talking
Mark’ in English with Mrs.
Mellor during their PPE exams.
This involved students watching
live planning and marking using our
visualiser. (projects live onto the
screen). Students found this veryuseful
and English are kindly
running another during Easter
(Wednesday 11th April)
