After the recent spells of bad weather the condition of more roads around the town have worsened considerably. The engineers have marked a number of areas for urgent repairs and hopefully this will happen shortly. A long list has been drawn up and while some areas are under repair many others still await and over recent days numerous pot holes have suddenly appeared. I have submitted more areas to the engineers for repair but feel free to contact me about potholes in your area. Some of the worst stretches include Roches Row, Aherne Place, Harbour Row, Spy Hill, Barrymore Avenue and the list goes on.

DONIE FORDE TROPHY SEMI-FINAL<br />
Cobh Wanderers 2-0 Ballincollig. Two goals from Ian Staplaton (27 & 42) was enough to secure<br />
a second successive Donie Forde Trophy final appearence for Wanderers. It was very much a<br />
game of missed opportunities for holders Wanderers who should really have bagged a hat-full<br />
in both halves of this very tough-tackling game, in mighty cold conditions.<br />
Ballincolling had a ten minute spell of pressure early in the second half but solid defence and<br />
Wanderers net-stopper Shane Hallahan made light of their efforts. Manager Michael Deasy will<br />
nevertheless take the result and look forward to another visit to Turners Cross where they will<br />
face UCC in the final. Date to be confirmed.<br />

Cobh performance of Band Tref Llandeilo Town Band<br />
On Friday 13th April at approximately 12 noon, thirty four members of the Band Tref Llandeilo<br />
Town Band from Wales will perform on the bandstand in The Promenade in Cobh. If the<br />
weather is unfavourable the performance will take place in Cobh Heritage Centre.<br />
The band is “on tour” for 4 days and will perform in Dungarvan on Saturday night.<br />
