Bjørk alone in the world
Erik Bjerregaard is leaving as general manager of Hotel Atlantic during
July after more than 25 years. He will be replaced by gm of Morten
Nielsen, present manager of Hotel Kangerlussuaq. Here he is selling the
hotel at ITB together with booking manager Lisbeth Kristensen from the
hotel and Vivi Knudsen, key account manager, Air Iceland.
A few years ago, the Icelandic songbird Bjørk went to
Greenland to practice before an imminent world tour.
During her stay at the Hotel Arctic, she decided to try an
igloo for a few days.
Her enthusiasm knew no end. Or yes, it did, but she stayed
in the igloo for several weeks and even summoned her
boyfriend from home, so he could come up and experience
the idyll. And that is where the igloo's biggest force lies.
You are close to Hotel Arctic's well-know splendid
restaurants, but at the same time you are so far away that
you feel like Bjørk alone in the world.
A clean and unspoilt idyll, yet you can reach the
restaurant in the hotel in three minutes and enjoy some of
the best that the Greenlandic cuisine can offer. The Hotel
Restaurant Ulo is known outside the country's borders for
its kitchen.
