<strong>Summer</strong> <strong>School</strong> Class Selection<br />
Eligibility <strong>for</strong> Classes Listed Below: Students who are currently in 3rd Grade<br />
Directions <strong>for</strong> Registration: Complete the summer school online registration as outline on<br />
page 2 of this brochure. Please note that some courses have a class limit due to technology requirements<br />
and/or staffing. We created the course option schedule based on previous year’s<br />
enrollment. If you have any questions about online registration, please call 414-294-7406.<br />
Travel the States<br />
Eligibility: Students in grade 3<br />
Description: Get your passport ready!<br />
During this enrichment class, students<br />
will virtually travel around the world while<br />
learning about the cultures of many<br />
countries along the way. This class will<br />
engage students through virtual field<br />
trips, music, stories, and projects.<br />
Awesome adventures will take place<br />
while kids fill their “passports” along the<br />
Artist's Workshop<br />
Eligibility: Students in grade 3<br />
Description: This class will expose the<br />
children to various styles in art. Working<br />
in both two and three dimensions, the<br />
children will paint, sketch, create art in the<br />
style of the world’s great cultures, and<br />
experience a wonderful, artistic<br />
adventure.<br />
Reading Improvement<br />
Eligibility: Students in grade 3<br />
Description: The mastery of<br />
basic skills in reading/language arts is essential<br />
to success in school. You'll be receiving<br />
a letter from your school if this course is<br />
appropriate <strong>for</strong> your child.<br />
Math Improvement<br />
Eligibility: Students in grade 3<br />
Description: The mastery of basic<br />
skills in mathematics is essential<br />
to success in school. You'll be receiving<br />
a letter from your school if this course is<br />
Leadership & Sportsmanship<br />
Eligibility: Students in grade 3<br />
Description: This class—<strong>for</strong> boys and girls—<br />
consists of a variety of sports. Sports introduced<br />
include: football, basketball, soccer, track and<br />
field, volleyball, baseball, and badminton.<br />

In this team-taught class, students learn how<br />
to develop positive competitive attributes.<br />
Students learn how to implement skills necessary<br />
to be successful in that sport.<br />
Students learn how to use conflict resolution<br />
strategies.<br />
Each class concludes with a group discussion<br />
and reflection of the day’s activities. Students<br />
are required to write a journal entry <strong>for</strong> each<br />
day of class and <strong>for</strong> other out-of-class experiences.<br />
Students must register at their current grade level. Current grade level is student’s grade during the 17-18 school year.
