Day 1 Arrive <strong>Leh</strong><br />

Today you will take early morning flight to <strong>Leh</strong>. Upon arrival, our representatives will assist you at<br />

Kushok Bakula Rinpoche (KBR) Airport for a transfer to your hotel. Once you check into your hotel with<br />

all formalities you will be at leisure for rest <strong>of</strong> the day. We recommend you this day to get acclimatized<br />

with the high altitude climate and low air pressure so that you become fit for rest <strong>of</strong> your journey.<br />

Evening can be utilized for a short walk to local markets. Return back to your rooms for overnight stay.<br />

Day 2 <strong>Leh</strong> local tour<br />

After breakfast you will proceed for a full day Indus Valley tour, which includes visit to the Shey Palace,<br />

Thiksey, Hemis and Stok Monasteries - the most beautiful Buddhist Monasteries <strong>of</strong> great historical<br />

significance in <strong>Ladakh</strong>. A packed lunch will be provided to all guests. Evening can be a good time to<br />

explore the local markets and try some local cuisine. Stay overnight at the hotel.<br />

Day 3 <strong>Leh</strong> Khardungla excursion<br />

Today, soon after breakfast you will head towards Khardongla Pass (48kms from <strong>Leh</strong>) which is located<br />

at 5600 meters above sea level, and is supposedly the world’s highest motorable pass. Spend some<br />

time and take photove over there. And then return to hotel for lunch and a short afternoon nap.<br />

Around 3pm, visit Shanti Stupa, a beautiful spot to enjoy a typical <strong>Ladakh</strong> evening <strong>of</strong>fering a<br />

panoramic view <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Leh</strong> town. Later in the evening, visit the 16th century <strong>Leh</strong>chen Palkhar or <strong>Leh</strong><br />

Day 4 <strong>Leh</strong> departure<br />

Day 1 Arrive in Manali (By Bus)<br />

On arrival in Manali, check-in to the hotel and relax till afternoon. Grab a quick lunch, post which you test your motorbike<br />

and get used to the roads. Go riding on the Himalayan riding premier through the challenging roads along the Kullu Valley.<br />

The tricky bends and stretches on the road will help you test the characteristics <strong>of</strong> the bike and acquaint yourself to handle<br />

the motor beast for your entire tour. Enjoy a fun ride to the beautiful Kullu Valley. Later, come back to the hotel for a<br />

comfortable overnight stay.<br />

Day 2 Manali - Jispa (150 km)<br />

Wake up early this morning and begin your adventure. Start your ride to Rohtang Pass (3978 meters). The beautiful<br />

mountain pass is the gateway <strong>of</strong> your bike tour. This first leg <strong>of</strong> your journey is your first challenge as the roads are really bad<br />

and the weather conditions are also uncertain. Overcome your first test, after which you will pass through the Lahaul Valley.<br />

Lahaul introduces you to the mountains capped with snow all around. Proceed to Jispa, which is your halt for the day. Enjoy a<br />

delicious dinner <strong>of</strong> the mountains. Steamed momos and thukpa are famous traditional Himalayan items for dinner. Fill your<br />

stomachs and be <strong>of</strong>f to your well-deserved rest.<br />

Day 3 Jispa - Sarchu (120 km)<br />

Today you drive to Sarchu. As you leave Jispa behind, enter the Greater Himalayan landscape. This highway route, takes you<br />

into the heart <strong>of</strong> the mountains. Enjoy the splendid view as you pass through the Baralachha Pass (5000 meters above sea<br />

level). Keep driving towards Sarchu which is the border line between Kashmir and Himachal. From there, get to the Sarchu<br />

camp. Relax for the rest <strong>of</strong> day and keep a high intake on fluids to keep away AMS (acute mountain sickness).<br />

Day 4 Sarchu - <strong>Leh</strong> (ride 215 km)<br />

The day starts with a lot <strong>of</strong> challenges. Today you will have to ride your motorbike through flatlands and get into the<br />

mountain horizon. Drive through the Tanglang-La Pass which is the second-highest motorable mountain pass in the world at<br />

the height <strong>of</strong> 5300 meters. After crossing this pass, you will ride through well-maintained roads all the way to <strong>Leh</strong>. En-route,<br />

get to see the monasteries <strong>of</strong> Thiksey and Shey. These ancient monasteries are set on the top <strong>of</strong> a hill and are attractions <strong>of</strong><br />

your tour. Check-in at the hotel in the borders <strong>of</strong> Changspa in <strong>Leh</strong>. Spned your time exploring the local places. Rest for the<br />

night.<br />

Day 5 Khardungla Pass (<strong>Leh</strong>)<br />

Today your day covers a visit to Khardungla Pass at 18360 ft, one <strong>of</strong> the world's highest motorable pass. In the afternoon,<br />

leave for a local city tour <strong>of</strong> <strong>Leh</strong>. Explore the attractions <strong>of</strong> <strong>Leh</strong> city. The Old Fort which overlooks the city is quite a<br />

breathtaking beauty. There are many eating joints at the central street which serve a wide variety <strong>of</strong> cuisines. Spend the<br />

evening at any <strong>of</strong> the garden restaurants which are popular in this place. Return to your hotel for the night.<br />

Day 6 <strong>Leh</strong> - Pangong Lake (ride 149 km)<br />

The sixth day <strong>of</strong> your tour covers a visit to the Pangong Lake. The largest brackish water lake in Asia is one <strong>of</strong> the best<br />

attraction <strong>of</strong> <strong>Ladakh</strong>. 2/3rd portion <strong>of</strong> the lake lies in China. The waters are crystal clear blessed with so many intriguing<br />

shades <strong>of</strong> blue. After a halt at the lake, proceed towards Chang La (5500 meters above sea level) and go forward to the army<br />

checkpoint at Tangse. Check-in at the resort and have a comfortable stay for the night.<br />

Day 7 Pangong - <strong>Leh</strong> (ride 149 km)<br />

Have your breakfast early in the morning and get ready to head towards <strong>Leh</strong>. Explore <strong>Leh</strong> the whole day. Shop at bazaars<br />

and visit the Shanti Stupa, the Buddhist white-dome huge structure which overlooks Changspa. Enjoy a great view <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Indus Valley and the Zanskar range. Enjoy the comforts <strong>of</strong> your hotel.<br />

Day 8 <strong>Leh</strong> - Sarchu (ride 215 km)<br />

Bid adieu to <strong>Leh</strong> and begin your ride. En-route, you will see Pang, a scenic spot in <strong>Ladakh</strong>'s landscape. Halt at Srachu. Sarchu<br />

lies in the middle <strong>of</strong> the two beautiful destinations, Manali and <strong>Leh</strong>. Have a comfortable stay in the camp.<br />

Day 9 Sarchu - Manali (ride 215 km)<br />

In the morning, begin your drive through the Sarchu plain and reach the Baralaccha plain till noon. Enjoy the beauty crossing<br />

through Lahaul ranges and reach Rohtang pass. Rohtang pass will challenge you with mini-rivers <strong>of</strong> mud. Ride through the<br />

obstacles to reach Manali. Have a comfortable stay at the hotel in Manali.<br />

Day 10 Manali Departure<br />

This is the last day <strong>of</strong> the adventurous bike tour. We bid you adieu with fond memories <strong>of</strong> your adventure in <strong>Ladakh</strong>.<br />

<strong>Travel</strong> Itinerary<br />

Day 1 Delhi - <strong>Leh</strong><br />

From the Delhi airport, board a flight to <strong>Leh</strong>’s Bakula Airport, at an altitude <strong>of</strong> 11700 feet. Upon arrival,<br />

our tour representative helps you with an assisted transfer to the hotel. After completing the check-in<br />

formalities, the day is scheduled for resting for acclimatization to the high altitudes <strong>of</strong> <strong>Ladakh</strong>, a<br />

necessary thing to do. In the evening, at around 04:30 PM, leave your hotel rooms for visiting the very<br />

popular Shanti Stupa- erected on a hilltop in Chanspa in 1991, it is white dome-shaped Buddhist<br />

stupa. Next, you visit the Chowkhang monastery- this serene monastery is marked by fluttering prayer<br />

flags. Later on, indulge in at the local market <strong>of</strong> <strong>Leh</strong>. Some <strong>of</strong> the best buys include Buddhist masks,<br />

prayer wheels, Thangka paintings and woolen items like Pashmina shawls, gloves, sweaters and more.<br />

Day 2 <strong>Leh</strong> – Indus Valley Tour – <strong>Leh</strong> (90 km round trip / 7-8 hours)<br />

After Breakfast on day 2, get all set for a full day tour <strong>of</strong> Indus Valley. The attractions that you visit<br />

today include the Royal Museum at Stok Palace- called the Stok Palace Museum, it <strong>of</strong>fers an insight<br />

into the heritage <strong>of</strong> the region; Thiksey Monastery- belonging to the Gelug sect <strong>of</strong> Tibetan Buddhism,<br />

this gompa is the largest monastery in central <strong>Ladakh</strong> region, Stagna Monastery- placed on a barren<br />

mountain top, the monastery <strong>of</strong>fers nice views <strong>of</strong> the surrounding area, Changchubling monasterybetter<br />

known as Rizong monastery, it was erected in 1829 and is known for its high standards <strong>of</strong><br />

monastic disciplines and the extremely well-known Hemis Monastery- India’s wealthiest monastery,<br />

Hemis is the biggest one too and the site <strong>of</strong> an annual festival. Overnight stay in <strong>Leh</strong>.<br />

Day 3 <strong>Leh</strong> - Nubra Valley (Valley <strong>of</strong> Flowers) (125km / 4-5 hours)<br />

On day 3, post an early breakfast at around 08:00 AM, begin your road journey to Nubra Valley via<br />

the world-popular Khardungla Pass. At an altitude <strong>of</strong> 18360 feet, it is one <strong>of</strong> the highest motorable<br />

passes. As you reach the valley, set your camps at the assigned location. Later on, you visit the silver<br />

sand dunes near Hunder village. Hop onto a double humped Camel for a memorable camel safari<br />

around the place. The next visit is to the villages <strong>of</strong> Diskit and Hunder (80 km round trip / 6-7 hours).<br />

The road trip in this region is a beautiful one. These places own monasteries and hot springs. Get a<br />

sneak-peak into the lifestyle <strong>of</strong> the locals. Stay overnight at the camp.<br />

Day 4 Nubra Valley - <strong>Leh</strong> (125 km)<br />

Today, leave the valley early morning after relishing sumptuous breakfast. The mornings here are<br />

extremely mesmerizing. Thereafter, visit the tiny yet beautiful Yarab tso Lake, also referred to as the<br />

hidden lake. This crystal clear lake is bounded by barren yet beautiful surroundings. After sightseeing,<br />

begin your drive back to <strong>Leh</strong> via Khardungla pass. After arrival, check-in at a hotel. Spend the evening<br />

by enjoying leisure walk in the <strong>Leh</strong> market. Stay overnight.<br />

Day 5 <strong>Leh</strong> - Pangong Lake (135 km)<br />

On the 5th day <strong>of</strong> the tour, leave early morning for Pangong Lake, placed at an altitude <strong>of</strong> 4400 m.<br />

Start driving eastwards <strong>of</strong> <strong>Leh</strong> crossing Changla Pass, 17500 ft. Take a route via Durbuk and Tangtse<br />

villages in the Changthang region <strong>of</strong> <strong>Ladakh</strong>. Treat your eyes to the scenic beauty all around you. As<br />

you reach, set up your camps near the lake side. Finding its place in both India and China, this lake is<br />

blessed with enchanting surroundings. The lake has even featured in the Bollywood blockbuster, 3<br />

Idiots. The brackish water changes color with the sunlight. Enjoy your day here. Overnight stay at the<br />

Camp.


Day 6 Pangong - Tsomoriri Lake (240 km / 9-10 hours)<br />

Start your day early when the surroundings <strong>of</strong> the lake look even more beautiful. If you want, you can<br />

click some photographs here. Later on, start driving towards Tsomoriri Lake. The largest lake in<br />

<strong>Ladakh</strong>, it lies at an altitude <strong>of</strong> 15075 feet. You drive up to Kharu and then right to the Moriri Lake. Enroute<br />

halt at Chumathang Hot springs. Drive past Mahe Bridge and then drive towards the beautiful<br />

Tsomoriri Lake. Spot Himalayan marmots. Evening arrival at the Lake. Check-in at the tented camp<br />

near the lake. Near the lake, you can spot as many as 34 avifauna species. The lake has been declared<br />

a Wetland <strong>of</strong> international significance under the Ramsar Convention in 2003. Stay overnight in the<br />

camp.<br />

Day 7 Tso Moriri Lake - Toskar Lake - <strong>Leh</strong> (235 km / 8-9 hours)<br />

After an early breakfast on day 7, start driving to <strong>Leh</strong> via Tsokar Lake. On the way, take a halt to visit<br />

Puga Geo-Thermal Gas springs, visiting the Nomadic Rebo tents at Polo-kongka pass, and further<br />

after the pass, stop by Tsokar Lake - a wetland area. Stop here for photographs. If you are interested,<br />

you can also visit the monastery <strong>of</strong> tiny Thukje village. Overnight stay in hotel in leh. Overnight stay.<br />

Day 8 <strong>Leh</strong> - Uleytokpo (82 km / 2-3 hours)<br />

After breakfast, today you start driving to Ulley Resort from <strong>Leh</strong>. On the way, visit the great statue <strong>of</strong><br />

Maitreya Buddha in the Likir monastery and the 1000 -year old murals <strong>of</strong> Alchi monastery, listed<br />

among the best Buddhist miniature paintings. Continue your road journey. Finally, you arrive Uley.<br />

Check-in at the resort/hotel. After completing the formalities, you can simply relax. Stay overnight.<br />

Day 9 Uleytokpo<br />

The day is going to be full <strong>of</strong> action. Your first visit is to region with Lunar landscapes- an area that is<br />

similar to the land condition <strong>of</strong> Moon. After this, you visit Lamayuru Monastery- one <strong>of</strong> the largest and<br />

oldest monasteries in <strong>Ladakh</strong>, it houses wall paintings, thangkas, murals, old scriptures and various<br />

statues <strong>of</strong> different forms <strong>of</strong> Buddha as well as other deities. Next you explore Rizong Nunneryresidence<br />

<strong>of</strong> 40 monks, this monastery was constructed in 1831 by the great Lama Tsultim Nima (130<br />

km round trip / 6-7 hours). If you want, you can also enjoy a day hike to Rizong village (around 2-3<br />

hours) or a go for a short hike to Gera-Lardo village across Indus River. Overnight stay at Uleytokpo.<br />

Day 10 Uleytokpo - <strong>Leh</strong> (70km / 2-3 hours)<br />

Today, you start driving back to <strong>Leh</strong>. On the way, halt to visit Spituk Monastery- also known as Pethup<br />

Gompa, it was founded in the 11th century; Magnetic Hill or the gravity hill-a natural wonder <strong>of</strong> the<br />

region and the Military Hall <strong>of</strong> Fame- a museum and memorial <strong>of</strong> the war heroes that is established<br />

and managed by the Indian Army. Late afternoon arrival in <strong>Leh</strong>. As the rest <strong>of</strong> the day is free, you can<br />

indulge in some last minute shopping at the popular markets <strong>of</strong> <strong>Leh</strong> such as Moti market, Balkhang<br />

chowk for apricot and Super Market. Overnight stay at Hotel.<br />

Day 11 <strong>Leh</strong> - Delhi (Departure)<br />

In the morning, get an assisted transfer to the airport to board flight for Delhi.<br />
