At every stage of planning, inputs<br />
from various stakeholders, ranging<br />
from residential as well as commercial<br />
tenants to expert consultants, have<br />
shaped the master plan and design of<br />
the project.<br />
Project Data points<br />
• The entire 16.5 acres project is<br />
divided into 9 self-sustained sub<br />
clusters.<br />
• 250 dilapidated buildings in Bhendi<br />
Bazaar will be replaced with 17 new<br />
towers.<br />
• Presently no defined parking space<br />
is available in the area. But the<br />
project will provide parking for<br />
approx. 3500 cars.<br />
• More than 80% of the present<br />
inhabitants are living as tenants.<br />
• With just 1 tree in the area, the new<br />
Bhendi Bazaar will have 700 trees<br />
& shrubs planted.<br />
• Residential will get minimum350sqft<br />
carpet area and shops will get the<br />
space equivalent to the current<br />
holding area.<br />
Keeping Tenants at the<br />
center of development<br />
Benefit to Residential Tenants: The<br />
redevelopment endeavour will provide<br />
its residents with Ownership homes<br />
and healthy living conditions which<br />
will cater to their daily needs. Even<br />
the smallest configuration will be a<br />
self-contained 1 BHK home with two<br />
separate bathrooms. While currently<br />
more than 70% tenants occupy area of<br />
less than 300 sq. ft. in old dilapidated<br />
structures with common toilets, the<br />
redeveloped residential apartments<br />
will have a minimum carpet area<br />
of 350 sq. ft. The homes have been<br />
designed to maximize natural light and<br />
ventilation. Buildings will have vertical<br />
transportation systems and podium<br />
level recreational spaces.<br />
