Sixfields Stadium in the Northants FA Teamwear Cup, but on<br />

this occasion Houghton Magna could not repeat the previous<br />

seasons cup final victory, losing the match this time by a 3 - 1<br />

score line, with Alex Smith scoring for Houghton Magna.<br />

Also in that season Magna reached the semi-finals of the<br />

Northants FA Sunday Trophy when they travelled to<br />

Wellingborough to face local side Wellingborough Saxons,<br />

however the match finished at 2 - 2 after extra time and<br />

Rushden & District Sunday League outfit Saxons progressed<br />

to the final after a penalty shoot out.<br />

The 2013-14 season saw Houghton Magna switch to the<br />

Northants Sunday Conference League, joining the Premier<br />

Division. Despite losing a large number of the treble winning<br />

squad, Magna still managed to consolidate their position in<br />

the league with a 9th place finish.<br />

In the following 2014-15 season, Houghton Magna finished<br />

as runners up to Denton FC in the race to win the Sunday<br />

Conference Premier Division title. Also that season Houghton<br />

Magna reached the quarter finals of the NTFA Goodliffe Cup<br />

as they went out to Eastern United FC.<br />

A new Saturday team for Houghton Magna was formed for<br />

the 2015-16 season, this team came from the nearby village<br />

side Yardley United FC who merged with Houghton Magna.
