MH Living & Mothers’ Club Drive Effort
to Assist Family with New Quintuplets
Chad and Amy got the shock of their life this past
Summer when they learned that Amy was carrying
Quintuplets.
From the beginning of their marriage Chad and
Amy had dreamed of having at least 3 children. After
years of failed attempts and miscarriages, Amy
learned she was pregnant with twin boys, Marshall
and Spencer. The boys were born prematurely at 22
weeks, however they only lived for a few hours.
The loss for the young couple was devastating.
Despite having another miscarriage, Chad and Amy
decided they were ready to try again. With the help
of modern fertility drugs they have been blessed
with 2 healthy girls, Savannah, now 3, and Avery, 1.
Still wanting a larger family, they decided to try
once more. In August 2017, at their first ultrasound
appointment, they were surprised to see five (5)
beating hearts on the screen.
It was a rocky road for the couple and their young
family. After months
of bed-rest and delicate
care, friends and family
helping care for their
two at home, the Kempel
Quintuplets were
born January 11, 2018.
But, getting the entire
family home safely
was just a first step.
Meeting the sudden demands
of an additional
five mouths to feed and
care for is a challenge
beyond what most will
ever experience.
The Mountain house Mothers’ Club, along with the
team at Mountain House Living/ MH Development
stepped in with drive to help bring some relief to
the family.
“It takes a village to raise quintuplets” and, therefore,
they created a donation drive, asking the
awesome Mountain House community to contribute
to the cause with needed items: diapers, pre-k to
kindergarten school supplies and gift cards.
The drive began April 19th, and runs through May
3rd. Residents are asked to drop off donations at the
Mountain House Welcome Center - 955 Prosperity
St, along Mustang Way. Donations will be delivered
to the family, and each donor will be invited to a
community Pizza Party following the conclusion
of the drive.
As a community, we can all help our neighbors
build a strong life for their hoard of young ones.
Donate today!
If you haven’t heard the news, this community recently had new neighbors
(five to be exact) added to the Mountain House family!
Chad and Amy Kempel, and their family welcomed a cute and squishy set of
quintuplets into their clan on January 11th, and what better way to welcome
them into the community than by throwing them the best welcome home
party ever.
The Mountain House Mothers’ Club and the Mountain House Development
Team have joined forces to put together a fundraiser that started April 19th
and runs through May 3rd designed to help the Kempels. We’re calling for all
residents and friends to pitch in!
Here’s how it works:
1. Mountain House residents and friends are invited to donate diapers, Pre-K
and Kindergarten school supplies, gift cards, and anything else you think they
might need.
2. Donation bins will be located in the Welcome Center at 955 Prosperity Street
in Mountain House. Get directions online here: http://mountainhouseliving.
com/location/directions/
3. Every donor will be invited to a community PIZZA PARTY! Donors will be
notified via email with details for the pizza party after the conclusion of the
fundraiser.
We can’t wait to see how much we can pull together and show the Kempel
family some love!
