Summer is here at last! 

Whether that means taking the kids for a swim at the City Pool, signing up 

for Golf lessons or a Softball Tournament, or simply gathering around the 

BBQ at one of our local parks, we hope you enjoy taking full advantage of all 

that Elko has to offer this season. As you page through this Activity Guide, 

I encourage you to look for a new program to sign up for or one that you 

already love and can invite a friend to. Go for it! The fun is at your fingertips. 

Parents, be sure to take special note of our newly improved Elko Explorers

we offer help to foster new skills, promote 

health and well-being, and expand 

cultural and artistic development. In 

order to provide such programs, the City 

of Elko Parks & Recreation Department 

seeks experienced individuals to work as 

contracted instructors to share their special 

talents, skills or knowledge with others in 

a class, camp or workshop format.

PARK RESERVATIONS 

With ten parks in the City of Elko, we offer various locations to reserve 

for the perfect family gathering, corporate party, or special event. Park 

reservations can be made online at www.elkocity.com or in-person at 

723 Railroad Street, Elko. 

Park Hours: 6:00 am - 12:00 am 

Park Reservation Fees: $50-$150 (Dependent upon location) 

PARK RESERVATION 

REQUIREMENTS & RULES 

AIR JUMPERS 

1. Reservations must be made at 

least 48 hours in advance. 

2. All fees must be paid when 

placing reservation. 

3. Cancellations must be made at 

least 5 days in advance. 

4. Reserving party will be 

responsible for any damages 

incurred during site use. 

5. No electricity or water is made 

available during park use. 

6. No glass containers are 

permitted on park grounds. 

7. No unauthorized vehicles are 

permitted on park grass. 

8. Keep noise at a respectful level. 

9. Pets must remain on a leash and 

pet waste disposed of. 

10. No camping is permitted unless 

pre-authorized by City Council. 

Air Jumpers are only permitted in 

the parks if the company selected 

has a City business license on file 

with the City of Elko. To inquire, 

please call (775) 777-7260. 

There is no electricity made 

available at any of the parks in Elko. 

Horses/ponies nor any other 

livestock are permitted on park 

grounds.

HOCKEY SUMMER CAMP 

Develop basic skating skills, stick handling, passing, shooting and team play. Inline 

hockey is a non-check sport. Includes camp t-shirt and snacks.

Adventure Camp I: For kids entering 3rd - 5th grades, join us for 

games, crafts, science activities, and an overnight camp out in 

Lamoille Canyon.

ELKO DISC GOLF 

Disc Golf is played much like traditional golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, however, 

players throw rubber golf discs from a tee area to an elevated metal basket target. 

The object of the game is to complete each hole in the fewest throws possible.
