Police Reports
Stolen vehicle discovered with broken window in Chicago
Fenway
The Tracey family
Hello, my name is Fenway
and I have been a resident
of Glenview for 9 years.
Living in Glenview has given me the taste of the
good life: Goode and Fresh pizza, Dairy Bar ice
cream cones, Joe’s donuts and Five Guys French
fries (please don’t tell my vet).
My family is part of the heart of a good life,
especially my two-legged human sister. Even though
she laughs at me when I do a “boot scoot” in the
grass or carry a stick larger than my body, I love her
so much. When it storms outside, she comforts me,
and when it is sunny, I watch her swing in our yard.
Yet, the best thing about my sister is getting all her
leftovers after meal time.
2000 Honda CRV after receiving
a call about a suspicious
vehicle. Nothing was
From The Village
The Glen work update
The second phase of
The Glen Street Resurfacing
project began on Monday,
April 30. During this
phase, major roadways
that were not resurfaced in
2016 will be repaved with
two inches of asphalt. The
work also includes replacing
damaged sections of
concrete curb and gutter,
as well as installing crosswalks.
The work will begin
on streets within The
Glen Town Center. About
40 parking spaces on the
west side of Tower Drive
between Chestnut Avenue
and Navy Boulevard will
be unavailable. The businesses
and parking garages
in the area will remain
open during this time.
Pilot surveying project
This week, the Village
began preparations for a
pilot surveying project,
which will involve LiDAR
— light detection and
ranging.
This remote sensing
method uses light in the
form of a pulsed laser to
survey above-ground infrastructure.
The pilot area
in the Swainwood neighborhood
is bounded by E.
Lake Avenue on the north,
the Metra railroad tracks
on the east, Glenview
Road on the south and
Shermer Road on the west.
