n Successfully changed our tax status
to a 501(c)(4) organization reducing
our taxes by $25,000 each year in the
future.
n Received over $40K in federal and
state tax refunds from amending tax
returns for 2009, 2010 and 2011 after
receiving our tax status change.
n Filed an insurance claim for over
$100,000 covering the costs of
the monsoon storm damage and
coordinated the replacement of over
150 trees.
n Negotiated an out-of-court
settlement in our favor of $23,500 for
professional malpractice associated
with our filing for the tax status
change with the IRS.
n Working with the Phoenix Parks
Foundation, the Cashman Park
Exploratory Committee successfully
raised over $70,000 in donations for
improvements to Cashman Park.
And perhaps most importantly…
n Finished the year under budget for the
10th consecutive year and avoided
raising fees for the 20th year in a row.
Looking forward to 2015, we will
continue reinvesting into our
community and raising the bar. Our
efforts will focus on maximizing
property values by reducing crime,
creating lifestyle events, enforcing our
CC&R’s and making Desert Ridge the
very best community in Phoenix.
