Mission<br />
The Trey Whitfield Foundation, lnc. was founded in 1989 to commemorate the life and spirit of Trey Whitfield. In<br />
his memory, the Trey Whitfield Foundation will pursue his dream that everyone, regardless of ethnic background,<br />
has equal access to the educational opportunities that they need to reach their potential in life; that every child<br />
will have a helping hand and every young person will get support from someone who cares about their future.<br />

Toward this end, the members of the Board of Trustees of the Trey Whitfield Foundation pledge their<br />
support to the development of resources, programs and opportunities to:<br />
Provide deserving young people and adults with the necessary financial support and educational<br />
opportunities to develop their full potential as human beings;<br />
Support those children and adults who have made an extraordinary contribution to the quality of<br />
life within their family and their community;<br />
Encourage underachieving young people and adults who face challenging and often overwhelming<br />
circumstances that impact their ability to successfully negotiate the challenges they face in life;<br />
Facilitate the continuing education of those young people and adults who have demonstrated<br />
sustained and genuine commitment to excellence in education;<br />
Honor those young people and adults who are positive and productive citizens, whose love and<br />
spirit inspire others to achieve, and who give unselfishly to the greater good of mankind.<br />
