• Must be able <strong>to</strong> respond at a speed sufficient <strong>to</strong> carry out patient assignments within the allotted<br />

Behavioral<br />
• Must possess mental and emotional health required for <strong>to</strong>tal utilization of intellectual abilities.<br />
• Must be able <strong>to</strong> <strong>to</strong>lerate physically taxing workloads.<br />
• Must be able <strong>to</strong> respond and function effectively during stressful situations.<br />
• Must be capable of adapting <strong>to</strong> rapidly-changing environments, and respond with flexibility in<br />
uncertain situations.<br />
• Must be able <strong>to</strong> interact appropriately with others (patients, families, members of health care<br />
team) in various health care contexts.<br />
L. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS IN CLINICAL SETTING<br />
Clinical agencies may have additional or agency-specific technical standards, which take precedence over<br />
Fisher College technical standards. In such instances, the program will attempt <strong>to</strong> provide a comparable<br />
alternative learning experience but if that is not possible, students may not be able <strong>to</strong> progress in the<br />
program or complete program requirements.<br />
M. TRANSPORTATION<br />
Students are responsible for their own transportation <strong>to</strong> all practice experience agencies.<br />
VII. GUIDELINES FOR WRITTEN PAPERS<br />
Faculty expect that all required papers prepared by students will be carefully typed (double spaced) and<br />
proofread before submission, and that papers will be well-written in terms of composition, grammar and<br />
spelling. The proper citing of references, quotations, etc., is essential <strong>to</strong> satisfac<strong>to</strong>rily complete written<br />
assignments. Individual course syllabi will detail standard for the particular course.<br />
A. APA FORMAT<br />
Students beginning the <strong>RN</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>BSN</strong> Program are assumed <strong>to</strong> have foundational writing skills that will be<br />
developed over the course of the program. Students will be provided assistance as needed/requested,<br />
with writing skills and APA. To that end, all formal papers must conform <strong>to</strong> guidelines of the<br />
Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6`I' edition (2011), with the exception<br />
that page numbers must be included on all pages. In addition <strong>to</strong> the Manual, students may find the<br />
