Trail rides, ‘Let’s Go Horseback Riding’
lessons offered at Forest View Farms
For more than 50 years, Forest
View Farms has welcomed
horseback riders of all ages.
Whether it is those who have
extensive riding experience or
those who want to enjoy a horse
ride for the first time, Forest
View Farms has something for
all guests.
Forest View Farms in Tinley
Park abuts the Cook County Forest
Preserve — a beautiful piece
of land that begs to be seen.
Guests can enjoy time away
from life’s stress and spend time
relaxing through the beautiful
forest trails. Riders are paired
with a horse at the rider’s skill
level, so new riders do not feel
overwhelmed.
Trail rides begin on the Forest
View Farms property and take
adjacent trails through the Cook
County Forest Preserve. Trail
rides are offered year-round and
are offered for both private, reserved
rides and walk-in customers.
Trail riders need to be at least
9 years old, with a 250-pound
weight limit.
Children younger than 9 who
want to ride can also enjoy pony
rides, which are offered yearround
and are great for smaller
children.
Horseback Riding lessons are
offered for people ages 3 and
older. Group and private lessons
also are available for adults.
Driving lessons also are available.
Parties can be arranged to accommodate
everything from trail
rides, pony rentals, hayrides,
ride wagons, covered wagons,
carriages and stagecoach to petting
farm animals. Parties can be
held at the customer’s place or
the Forest View facility. Forest
View Farms has party barns and
party pavilions available.
Forest View also does parades,
weddings, reunions, convention
events, company picnics, cookouts,
special events and parties
for all occasions.
Guests also are invited for
a week of fun at horse camp,
which is a way to learn about
horses and other farm animals.
During the week at camp, new
campers will learn to brush,
saddle and ride horses, or, for the
more experienced, lots of riding.
Forest View also holds a fall festival
and haunted events.
