Muddy Mayhem to Help Armed Forces Families If you fancy a fun day out with the kids this summer, The Royal British Legion has got just the thing. Muddy Mayhem is a brand new family mud challenge raising money for the Armed Forces Community. On 14 July, Muddy Mayhem will be at The National Water Sports Centre, Nottingham. Kids aged 6+ and big kids (responsible adults) are being challenged to work together to walk, jog or even crawl around the 2 mile obstacle course, with food and exciting activities waiting for them at the finish line. Matthew Rogers, Event Manager at the Legion, told Primary Times, “We’ve packed the course with great obstacles that will have you whizzing down mud slides and splashing through mud pits, and if you’re feeling full of beans you can do a second lap. Muddy Mayhem is a really fun way for kids to team up with the grown-ups to raise money for Armed Forces families who need our help. Registration is only £15 for adults and £10 for kids, with a fundraising target of £150 per team. The money raised could help fund a holiday for an Armed Forces family at one of the Legion’s inspiring Break Centres which give Armed Forces families a week of fun and memorable experiences, providing much needed respite for guests who have often never been on holiday together.
