Seating
This
Way
Always have a clearly established seating plan for all of your children.
• As soon as your children agree to sit in your seating plan, they have agreed that
you can set the key agendas in the room
• Don’t spread all the most difficult children around the room – they will simply
start shouting to each other across the room
• If you choose to sit children in groups, you must accept a certain level of social
behaviour
• Change your seating plan every so often to vary working pairs and maximise
learning
• Make sure that children with poor concentration sit near you and away from
obvious distractions such as windows
