Ellis Lifeguard Certification / Swim<br />

Ellis & Associates Lifeguarding Course<br />

Friday, Saturday & Sunday<br />

Y member rate: $175<br />

Y non-member rate: $225<br />

Prerequisites: swim 200 yards (eight lengths); tread water for 2<br />

minutes without using your hands; perform feet first surface dive<br />

to lift a 10-pound brick off the bottom of the pool. Upon 100<br />

percent attendance and successful completion of water skills and<br />

written exam, participants receive a one-year certification in Ellis<br />

and Associates Lifeguarding. Must possess a valid email address.<br />

Ages: 15 and up<br />

Ellis & Associates Re-Certification Course<br />

Sunday<br />

Y member rate: $100<br />

Y non-member rate: $150<br />

Prerequisites: Swim 200 yards (eight lengths); tread water for 2<br />

minutes without using your hands; perform a feet first surface dive<br />

to lift a brick off the bottom of the pool, plus proof of valid Ellis<br />

and Associates certification. Upon successful completion of water<br />

skills and written exam, participants receive a one-year recertification<br />

in Ellis and Associates Lifeguarding. Re-certification<br />

includes First Aid, Adult, Child and Infant CPR, Oxygen<br />

Administration and AED. No refunds regardless of passing or<br />

failing the course.<br />
