IB2 Leavers’ Assembly<br />
<strong>GIS</strong> held a special whole-school assembly to say farewell to<br />
our IB2 students.<br />
The IB2s have completed their IB Diploma course and so<br />
come to the end of their time at <strong>GIS</strong>. Primary and Secondary<br />
students gathered in the main hall to give them a spectacular<br />
send-off. After a welcome by Principal Mrs Hawtree, the IB2s<br />
were given a guard of honour from the IB1s and party poppers were let off.<br />
IB Diploma Coordinator Mr Beales then introduced various tributes from the students’ brothers and sisters<br />
(many of whom also gained the IB Diploma at <strong>GIS</strong>), as well as some teachers and friends. This included a<br />
surprise visit from Aakshi, who is currently studying in Singapore but returned to wish Shilpi well.<br />
Some IB students have spent their entire education at <strong>GIS</strong> so it was a big moment as they marked their last<br />
official day of school before the examinations started. Once the students have gained the IB Diploma, they<br />
