Primary FOBISIA <strong>2018</strong><br />
From <strong>May</strong> 5-9, 32 students from Years 4, 5 and 6<br />
made the journey to Phuket for the Primary FOBISIA<br />
Games.<br />
They had trained very hard leading up to the Games<br />
and it showed in the results. Day 1 saw the <strong>GIS</strong> Titans<br />
win 69 medals in Swimming and 100 in Athletics.<br />
Everyone worked extremely hard in both the individual<br />
and team events. Day 2 was the T Ball competition.<br />
Students were focused and played very well<br />
with the both the A team and the C team placing second.<br />
The sportsmanship and fair play shown by the<br />
pupils in T Ball teams was something to be proud of.<br />
The final day saw all four teams place in football. The<br />
competition was tough with some teams having to go<br />
to penalties to decide if they had a semi-final<br />
place. The final evening saw the students enjoy their<br />
gala dinner, sharing memories of the last few days<br />
with their new friends where they showed the true<br />
meaning of the 'Friendly Games'.<br />
