ONE YEAR INTO THE BUILDING PROJECT

With the heat of summer scorching our part of
the world we are witnessing the final stage of the
construction of our new club building project. Our
volunteers have been working hard for the last
year and a half, the same workers who through
tireless dedication have made this Society grow in
value and venue. We have already started using
the newly restored part of the premises to cater
for the choir and orchestra rehearsals, musical
education and for general use by our members.
Our team would not be complete without the
architect Joseph Attard, builder Silvio Pace,
the building committee, volunteers and friends
who with their determination and energy have
made this dream a reality. One must understand
that the financial means of our Society are
limited. It will be up to us to coordinate a
better collection of funds through appeals,

collections, sponsors and other events to keep
the momentum that has been gained so far.
Looking ahead, we call upon our young members
and students to actively participate in this new
drive that they are witnessing around them.
Music has a way of bringing people together,
it opens doors and positively forms a better
character. What we do today will be the building
blocks needed for these same members to
succeed.
I am sure that they will rise to the challenges put
before them and I’m adamant in their zeal to
achieve better things. It is with these aims and
qualities that I present the Committee, Musical
Director, Directors, Members, Teachers, Students
and Friends all coming together to form the
Choral and Orchestral Society 'Maria Bambina'.
