Christmas Gratitude
As we enjoy another Christmas season (the liturgical calendar of the Church celebrates the Christmas season and the
joy of our Savior with us all the way through today’s Feast of the Baptism of the Lord) we have many to thank for all
the blessings and goodness of this season.
Our thanks and abiding gratitude to….
.…all who helped make our Christmas liturgies festive, joyful, and filled with prayer and praise of our God and Savior.
We’re especially grateful to our choir, musicians, those who decorated, our ushers, and our ministers called upon for
extraordinary service during these days. Your efforts and presence bring the warmth and cheer of this season to all of
us. Thanks as well to Kay Merkle, Brian Gaseor, and Pat and Debbie Patzelt for arranging for Santa and Mrs. Klaus to be
with us during our festive Tree Lighting and for the wonderful and delicious reception afterwards.
.…all from our parish family who so generously gifted our families helped by our newly formed St. Vincent de Paul
Society, and the Advent Giving Tree that blessed our sharing parish’s families from Saint Eulalia. Thanks to your
goodness and love, you made Christmas happen for so many who would have done without, were it not for your care
and concern. Because of your generous response to our “Make Christmas Happen” appeal, $670.00 was collected and
we were able to gift 12 families at Christmas (as well as Thanksgiving). God bless your love and gifts shared with those
who are struggling in places near and far.
….Libby and Loretta Lodestro for their faithful efforts once again coordinating our Giving Tree, and to all the St. Vincent
de Paul members for working together to sort and deliver Christmas gifts and cheer to families right in our parish and
neighborhood. Special thanks to Pat Valicento for helping organize all these tasks.
A blessed and peaceful New Year to you and all you love in our Savior’s presence and peace among us.
Gratefully,
