14 THE WEEKLY TIMES Wednesday 13 June, 2018 Light Up The Night Show a resounding success FIRST time performance together of top line artists Joey Fimmano, Gaetano Bonfante and Roseanna Gallo proved an outstanding success with the North Ryde RSL Community Club auditorium filled at capacity. The Light Up The Night show highlighted the great talents of musician, pianist and ACE award winner Joey Fimmano, leading tenor Gaetano Bonfante and talented leading singer and performer Roseanna Gallo OAM. The audience were mesmerised by the combined talents of the three singers, backing vocalist Vicky Welch plus the four piece band. The finale left everyone in awe, and the performance received a well deserved standing ovation. Bryan Fletcher at Sporties Origin Lunch FOX SPORTS personality and ex-international forward Bryan Fletcher (pictured) is guest speaker at Gladesville Sporties’ Best Ever Origin Lunch on Friday June 22 from 12 noon. The ball playing Fletcher made 135 appearances for the Sydney Roosters including the club’s 30-8 Grand Final victory over the NewZealand Warriors in 2002 before spending three seasons with South Sydney where he played 45 matches and a two year stint with Wigan Warriors in the English Super League. Fletcher made 14 appearances for NSW in State of Origin and earned 13 Test caps with the Kangaroos during a successful representative career. He was a key member of the NSW team that inflicted a 3-0 Origin series whitewash over Queensland before helping Australia lift the 2000 Rugby League World Cup by trouncing New Zealand 40-12 in the decider at Old Trafford in Manchester. Tickets $100 per head inludes lunch, drinks and loads of laughs. Charity auctions and raffles with luncheon proceeds supporting the Randwick and Westmead Children’s Hospitals. My apartment overlooks our beautiful gardens and I have not regretted my decision for one moment. I was impressed on my very first visit by the friendly staff and lovely facilities.
