Supporting Research at Hebrew University
Initiating, developing, and commercializing research
are crucial goals for Hebrew University. The university
conducts close to 3,500 research projects a year and has
generated nearly 10,000 patents through Yissum, its tech-
nology transfer company. With over 100 research centers
spread across six campuses, HU is a hub of innovation that
generates lifesaving products, therapies, and technologies
with global applications.
HU has always played a significant role in fields such
as biotechnology, medicine, and agriculture. This research
expands human knowledge, contributing to the greater
social welfare. The process itself also contributes to the edu-
cation and training of students, enabling them to become
highly qualified professionals with state-of-the-art skills.
They learn to think imaginatively and create solutions for
local, national, and international challenges.

AFHU Planned Giving
When Albert Einstein joined colleagues in 1918 to
establish the Hebrew University, he envisioned a university
characterized by an unceasing quest for knowledge. Einstein
knew even in a world marred by conflict and injustice, inquisitive
minds would illuminate paths to human progress.
AFHU continues to expand upon Einstein’s dream in
many ways, especially through planned gifts. Each year, supporters
help to provide for the future of HU. They make a
bequest, create a charitable gift annuity, or designate AFHU
