cholarships help defray tuition
and living expenses and enable
qualified women and men from every
socioeconomic and cultural background
to pursue a degree in their field of
choice. Despite HU’s relatively low
tuition costs versus American universities,
more than two-thirds of students
request financial assistance during their
time at the university. AFHU raises
funds in support of all HU scholarships,
including:
Jerusalem Scholarships
A general scholarship pool from which the university
distributes partial and full scholarships to B.A. and M.A.
students based upon merit and need, according to
university criteria.
Scopus Scholarships
Need-based aid for B.A. and M.A. students facing
financial challenges.
Ph.D. Scholarships and Postdoctoral Fellowships
For students pursuing advanced degrees.

For students, usually from developing countries, enrolled
in one of the Hebrew University’s acclaimed international
master’s degree programs.
he AFHU Alumni Relations Program reconnects HU
graduates in the U.S. and Rothberg International
School alumni, creating a robust national association of
accomplished HU alumni.
AFHU’s program is an alumni-driven initiative that
brings people together to share experiences and network
with HU friends, old and new. Through the efforts of our
alumni lay leaders, in tandem with AFHU development
professionals, the alumni program cultivates support for
the university’s advancement.
