WHAT IS THE CSA?
The Collège de Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière is the 5 th oldest French high school in North America
and has always been a significant pillar of education.

Our institution is well-known throughout the province of Quebec for the high quality of the
education it has always provided. In the Ministry of Education exams, our school:
• Placed first in Eastern Quebec among all other educational institutions in the past 5 years
• Showed a success rate of 98.6% and a general average of 80.5%
In addition to its regular high school curriculum, our institution offers different short- and
long-term French immersion programs in all levels (from beginner to high advanced) to anyone
who wishes to improve their French language proficiency while discovering a fascinating new
culture.

WHERE IS THE CSA LOCATED?
The Collège de Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière is located on the banks of the St. Lawrence River,
less than 65 minutes from Quebec City, in the French-speaking province of Quebec, Canada.
La Pocatière is a small town offering a great variety of services such as a hospital and other
medical centres, a shopping centre and various shops, restaurants and recreational facilities, in a
calm and secure environment.

WHO CAN APPLY?
Our French High School Studies Program is intended for students aged 12 and over (grades 7 to 11),
regardless of their French proficiency.
WHEN DO THE PROGRAMS TAKE PLACE?
• 5-week summer program 2018: July 2 nd to August 3 rd
• 3-week school year preparation 2018: August 4 th to 26 th
• Fall semester 2018: from August 27 th to December 21 st
• Winter semester 2019: from January 8 th to June 21 st

French High School Studies
All international students are welcome to enroll in the Collège de Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière for French
High School Studies, regardless of their French language proficiency. Whether it be for one semester or for
the whole school year, our College offers francisation lessons at no extra cost to the students who wish to
join our local students in order to follow our regular French High School curriculum in French. Moreover,
this program could lead the students to get a high-school diploma – under certain conditions – and obtain
the possibility of attending university or other educational institutions.
Our institution offers a 43-week French High School Studies Program which allows all international students
(from beginners to high advanced) to improve their proficiency language and to attend French regular
classes. What’s more, international students are offered 2 extra non-mandatory preparatory summer
programs in order to be fully equipped for the school year!
5-WEEK FRENCH IMMERSION PROGRAM (Not mandatory) July 2 to August 3, 2018
• A program accredited by the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC).
• A summer program reputed for its extensive know-how for the last 17 years .
• A summer program highly recommended by the CMEC and Languages Canada for its continuing standards of excellence.
• An ever-present, attentive and dynamic team.
• A well-balanced schedule combining studies and activities
- 3.5 hours of French lessons every morning taught by teachers who are accredited by Languages Canada
- 1.5 hour of workshops to suit every taste in the afternoon or evening
- 2 hours of free and varying activities offered at the end of the afternoon or in the evening
• The chance to add optional activities to the schedule (music and dance lessons, cultural and sports excursions, etc.).
Fees Registration: CAD 275
Tuition and residency: CAD 2,875 (CAD 575 / week) (full board, 3 meals / day)

3-WEEK SCHOOL YEAR PREPARATION (Not mandatory) August 4 to 26, 2018
The regular school year’s three-week preparation program is the continuation of the five-week summer program and is considered
as a prerequisite for the regular school year. The schedule of classroom sessions, workshops, organized cultural and sporting activities
maximizes the students’ exposure to the French language and culture to ensure an ideal learning experience.
Fees Registration: CAD 275 (when applicable)
Tuition and residency: CAD 1,800 (CAD 600 / week) (full board, 3 meals /day)
TOTAL: CAD 2,075

3 Easy Ways To Learn French!
Regular School Year (with francisation) August 27, 2018 to June 21, 2019
Students registered for the complete school year at the Collège de Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière have the opportunity to pursue a
quality education in a completely safe environment. What’s more, students have the possibility to participate in different programs
and concentrations thereby living their passions. Moreover, this program could lead the students to get a high school diploma from
Québec’s Ministry of Education – under certain conditions – and obtain the possibility of attending university or other educational
institutions in Canada.

requirements. Our teaching is based upon the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
which favours the communicative and actional approach. Offered in all levels, from beginner to high advanced, our
French immersion programs lead the students to develop their language proficiency and self-confidence.

The Collège de Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière offers newly-renovated individualroom
accommodations for international and regular students inside the school.
They all include a work space in addition to one bed (bedding included), each
room being decorated with modern furniture for your personal belongings
(storage units, tables, chairs, etc.).
Many washrooms including showers, as well as a lavatory and spacious living
rooms are available within close proximity to the rooms.
Alternative accommodations for adults
In addition to the regular rooms, the Collège de Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière
offers alternative accommodations for adults. In addition, newly-renovated
two-room suites are also available to people looking for more privacy and wider
rooms.
Programs Tailored To Your Needs / A 5-Star Residence
All suites offer a spacious living room and a private washroom equipped with
a shower, in addition to a bedroom containing one bed (bedding included),
each room being decorated with modern furniture for your personal belongings
(storage units, tables, chairs, sofa, television set, etc.).
Moreover, a spacious fully-equipped cooking area is also available within close
proximity to the suites.
