Sec. 145.326 Additional monthly benefit; payment from state treasury<br />

On and after December 31, 1971, all persons who retired and were eligible to receive a<br />

pension that was payable prior to July 1, 1968, pursuant to sections 145.33, 145.34, or 145.36 of<br />

the Revised Code, or in the event of the death of such persons, the person designated by the<br />

deceased to receive payments under section 145.46 of the Revised Code, shall receive an<br />

additional monthly payment of two dollars for each year between the member's effective date of<br />

retirement or disability and December 31, 1971, or an additional fifty dollars, whichever is less.<br />

Sec. 145.327 Additional monthly payments<br />

Each person receiving benefits under section 145.45 of the Revised Code who became<br />

eligible to receive such benefits under section 145.43 of the Revised Code by virtue of the death<br />

of a member prior to July 1, 1968, shall receive an additional monthly payment of two dollars for<br />

each year between the date of such member's death and December 31, 1972, or an additional fifty<br />

dollars, whichever is less.<br />

Sec. 145.328 Increase in monthly benefit<br />

On and after the effective date of this section, any person who retired or his beneficiary,<br />

who was eligible to receive an allowance that was first payable on or after July 1, 1968, and prior<br />

to July 1, 1971, and the beneficiary of a member who died before service retirement on or after<br />

July 1, 1968, and prior to July 1, 1971, receiving an allowance or benefit pursuant to section<br />

145.33, 145.34, 145.36, 145.37, 145.45, or 145.46 of the Revised Code, shall receive an<br />

additional monthly payment of two dollars for each year between the member's effective date of<br />

retirement, disability, or death and July 1, 1973.<br />

Sec. 145.329 Recalculation of benefits<br />

(A) On and after the first day of the month following the effective date of this section,<br />

each person eligible to receive a benefit, pursuant to sections 145.33, 145.34, 145.36, 145.37,<br />

division (A) of section 145.45, and section 145.46 of the Revised Code, that was based upon an<br />

award made effective before June 30, 1955, shall have the benefit payable as of September 30,<br />

1974, recalculated by the public employees retirement board so that each person shall receive an<br />

annual single lifetime benefit or its actuarial equivalent of not less than one hundred forty dollars<br />

for each year of the member's total service credit, except that service credit exceeding thirty-two<br />

years shall not be used in the recalculation, and a final average salary limitation shall not be<br />

applied.<br />
