National VCC Rally for Cancer - Daffodil Run on Sunday 26th August Gather at Smales Farm at 10:00 for registration and a wander, leaving at 11.15. Display at Warkworth Wharf at 12:00 Peoples’ Choice prize giving at 14:00 Leave for Kaipara Flats Airfield to see vintage aircraft, weather permitting, & travel home. Volunteers are needed for: 1. Canvass flyers to businesses in Morrison Drive area: date to be agreed, but on morning about 2 weeks before. 4 people. 2. Registration for display at the Wharf. Arrive at 11:000 until approx.13:30 2 people 3. Bucket collection at the Wharf. Arrive at 11:45 until 14:00 approx. 4 people 4. Club Stand. Erect the gazebo, respond to enquiries, clear away afterwards. 11:30 until 14:15. 2 people 5. People’s Choice. Help erect club stand, give out and receive voting slips, count votes and help clearing up. 11:30 until 14:15. 2 people Please let me know if you wish to do the rally from the Shore, but then you will not be available to help. Would those who will display their vehicles at the Wharf also let me know and be in position by 12:00. You could also help at the Wharf and if we all work together then those helping could also go to Kaipara Flats Airfield. I look forward to all the replies flooding in. I will let you know if you are needed or if we have so many that you can take the time off! One or two gaps are missing because I already have some volunteers! Anne Richardson 4
