Our <strong>in</strong>novative onl<strong>in</strong>e hub was designed to remove barriers between CFP and our customers. It provides the realtime<br />
<strong>in</strong>formation you need, when you need it, enabl<strong>in</strong>g complete transparency <strong>in</strong> - and proactive management of<br />
– air filters across the whole of your portfolio.<br />
The system, which is directly l<strong>in</strong>ked to an eng<strong>in</strong>eer’s bespoke hand-held software, manages the complete<br />
ma<strong>in</strong>tenance cycle, record<strong>in</strong>g Planned Preventative Ma<strong>in</strong>tenance (PPMs) and filter change dates. It allows site,<br />
AHU and eng<strong>in</strong>eer specific notes to be documented, sav<strong>in</strong>g time on site and creat<strong>in</strong>g efficiency and transparency,<br />
elim<strong>in</strong>at<strong>in</strong>g local knowledge.<br />

McDonald’s and CFP – A <strong>Partnership</strong> of Success<br />
CFP’s orig<strong>in</strong>al proposal was to supply a range of filters that would reduce your current change frequency from<br />
three monthly to four monthly, thus sav<strong>in</strong>g on parts and labour costs. A breakdown of potential costs sav<strong>in</strong>gs is<br />
shown on page 12.<br />
As agreed <strong>with</strong> McDonald’s Restaurants, a filter life test was arranged at one of Edge restaurant’s premises,<br />
restaurant 353 <strong>in</strong> Salford.<br />
New <strong>Filter</strong>s were fitted to the<br />
AHU, as demonstrated here, on<br />
the 20 th April 2018.<br />

An <strong>in</strong>cl<strong>in</strong>ed manometer was fitted on the<br />
31 st May 2018, to measure pressure<br />
drops at regular <strong>in</strong>tervals and to check<br />
the performance of the filters.<br />
Dur<strong>in</strong>g a site visit on the 11th of June,<br />
the pressure drop was measured at 28<br />
Pascals.<br />
The recommended f<strong>in</strong>al pressure drop<br />
is 200 Pascals.<br />
The filters, whilst discoloured due to<br />
the amount of dirt removed from the<br />
air flow, were still <strong>in</strong> good condition.<br />

McDonald’s and CFP – Our Proposal<br />
Follow<strong>in</strong>g our discussions, and trials, we are pleased to quote for the supply and fitt<strong>in</strong>g of the fresh air filters at<br />
McDonald’s restaurants as outl<strong>in</strong>ed below.<br />
<strong>Filter</strong> costs are based on the Nordair style units, each us<strong>in</strong>g four filters per unit. The figures below show costs for<br />
restaurants <strong>with</strong> 1 to 8 units <strong>with</strong> additional filters be<strong>in</strong>g charged on a pro-rata basis.<br />

Fitt<strong>in</strong>g costs are £52.00 per site and Carriage costs are £8.75 per site.<br />
Where the sites still have the older air handl<strong>in</strong>g units and the size and quantity of filters differ from the Nordair<br />
units, we will provide a free site survey for each site, and price accord<strong>in</strong>gly.<br />
By <strong>in</strong>stall<strong>in</strong>g the Pro-Pleat S Air <strong>Filter</strong>, the current four changes per year will be reduced to just three changes,<br />
offer<strong>in</strong>g an immediate 25% reduction <strong>in</strong> filter and labour cost across all restaurants.<br />
On average there are two or three units per restaurant <strong>with</strong> four filters <strong>in</strong> each, so have based our calculations on<br />
an average of 10 filters per restaurant.<br />
Based on the <strong>in</strong>formation above we are pleased to confirm the follow<strong>in</strong>g based on the circa 1,200 McDonald’s<br />
restaurants.<br />

Environmental Management<br />
CFP is committed to achiev<strong>in</strong>g environmental milestones and this is clearly demonstrated through our<br />
certification to BS EN ISO 14001:2015 standards.<br />
CFP is a very environmentally conscious organisation, and the backbone of our service offer<strong>in</strong>g to customers is<br />
energy efficiency through the products that we supply and our efficient service.<br />
The ma<strong>in</strong> environmental impact of our service/product offer<strong>in</strong>g is the vehicle emissions from our fleet that travel<br />
the length and breadth of the UK. However, our Head Office account management team ensure that our site<br />
services are as efficient as possible, ensur<strong>in</strong>g that we organise customer visits <strong>in</strong> the same locale at the same<br />
time, wherever possible, thus reduc<strong>in</strong>g unnecessary emissions.<br />
