Tinley Park Residents
This is Pepper (we also call
her Miss Pepper, Pepper Anne,
Maja and Puppy). We adopted
her in April 2009 when she was
4-months-old and she’s brought us
so much joy ever since! She loves
to play, go for walks, eat carrots
and apples for snack time and
cuddle. We couldn’t have asked for
a better dog!
Supervisor of the year award goes
to Orland Township’s O’Grady
SUBMITTED BY ORLAND TOWNSHIP
The board of directors of the Illinois State
Crime Commission/Police Athletic League
selected Orland Township Supervisor Paul
O’Grady as the 2018 “Township Supervisor
of the Year.” The organization presented the
award at its annual “Salute to Those Who
Make a Difference” event in June.
“Supervisor O’Grady’s tireless efforts to
better the lives of the residents of Orland
Township is a testament to the integrity of
his character and demonstrates that he truly
cares about his constituents,” said ISCC/PAL
Executive Director Jerry Elsner.
The ISCC/PAL is dedicated to combatting
public corruption and strengthening the Illinois
criminal justice system in this state. The
organization strives to help protect the lives
of Illinoisans by advocating for solutions in
such areas as drunk driving, violent crimes,
drugs and narcotics, gang activity, crime prevention,
anti-terrorism, youth outreach, education,
and other legislative initiatives.
“We strive at Orland Township to constantly
improve the availability and caliber
of services for local residents, all while doing
our part to hold the line on local property
taxes,” O’Grady said.
A practicing attorney with the law firm of
Peterson, Johnson & Murray-Chicago LLC,
O’Grady serves as a Special State’s Attorney
in both Cook and Will counties. He has
served as a Special Corporation Counsel for
the City of Chicago and also previously as a
Commissioner and then as Chairman of the
Orland Fire Protection District.
of the Orland Township Scholarship Foundation,
which has awarded nearly $131,500
in scholarship funds to 175 local students
based on academic achievement and community
service.
“Our job at Orland Township is to help
promote a greater quality of life for our residents,”
O’Grady said.
