Forever Remembered
Wigan Golf Club will
hold a charity golf day in
memory of a Wigan lad.
On Friday, July 20, Wigan Golf
Club will welcome 164 golfers to
a charity golf day in memory of
David Hughes, 32, who passed
away on Tuesday, May 8.
In February Dave received a new
heart, but due to complications
he remained in the Freeman hospital in Newcastle –
the specialist unit for Dave’s condition.
Carl Robinson, director from Wigan Golf Club
said: “Tony Sedgwick, Dave’s father-in-law and his
brother-in-law Danny Sedgwick are well respected
members of WGC.
“We hope the day brings
awareness of the tragic
condition families have to face
and showcase the amazing
hardworking, dedication of the
medical team at the Freeman
Hospital.”
Louise wants the day to celebrate
Dave’s life and promote the
importance of organ donation.
Accompanied by son George, she will ensure he’s
proud of his daddy and Dave’s legacy will continue
for years to come.
She’d also like to thank Wigan Golf Club for closing
the golf course for the day, to everyone attending,
