Apprenticeship Programs
Your work no longer has to be unfulfilling. LCSC Workforce Training
offers an exciting career path. By completing the 4 year Idaho required
instructional course of study for Electrical, HVAC or Plumbing, you will
be well on your way. These apprenticeship programs are offered in the
classroom or by distance learning for individuals who live in rural areas.
It is highly recommended, though not required, for students participating
in the course work to already be employed in the trade to complete the
Idaho required on-the-job training hours needed to test for the journeyman
license. Registration for these apprenticeship programs is now open.
Spring fees have a $15 additional charge for mandatory electronic testing
which will take place at the end of the semester. This electronic testing
has been mandated by the state for YR’s 1 – 3. Year 4 students will not be
taking this type of exam.

Industrial Mechanic/Millwright
The objective of this course
is to provide students with a
comprehensive perspective of the
skills and knowledge required to
perform the duties of an Industrial
Mechanic/Millwright. Industrial
Mechanics perform varied skill
and knowledge based functions
in the manufacturing environment.
Production depends on the
Industrial Mechanic’s abilities
to correctly identify potential
problems; correctly diagnose
potential and immediate problems;
perform maintenance; repair or
replace mechanisms; and perform
a multitude of other duties. An
Industrial Mechanic who has both
knowledge and skill enhances
safety, production and industry
reputation.
This course is a (5) semester
course, time for completion is 2.5
years.
