Urban and Countryside Adventure in
Taiwan!
Get the thrill out of it and experience the beyond compare scenic
view while understanding the culture and laidback lifestyle of Taiwan!
Written by: Danica Gumera Photos: Danica Gumera & Faye Bohol
The art of patiently waiting to visit the beautiful city of Taipei— one of my dream
countries to explore with a friend—was finally over. My friend, Faye, and I had
sleepless nights with over-excitement in our hearts by counting the days for our
trip together. Taiwan is known to be the 3rd safest country because people are
united in achieving discipline even in small ways. Other agenda for traveling to
this country: to understand, witness and testify the truth behind their culture,
lifestyle and beliefs based on the reports; to see before our very own eyes the so
called, “Shibuya” of Taipei; to experience the countryside adventures of each tourist
spot; and to fulfill our inner high school fondness, as we were still fangirling
over Meteor Garden by seeing few of the actual shooting locations.
Would you believe that we got our round trip tickets for only Php 3500/pax? We
had been wakeful all night to grab the much-awaited seat sale! It saves you from
paying high and questionable rates. Just keep your mobile apps alerted every
time seat sale is coming — get a beauty rest ahead before the selling period!
Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall
Transportation
Traveling time to Taipei, Taiwan via Air Asia
from NAIA Terminal 3 is only 2 hours away –
considered as one of the closest countries to the
Philippines. It’s just like fighting the traffic jam
from Antipolo to Makati City. Upon arrival at
Taoyaon Airport Terminal 1 at 1:00 am, our tired
body was replaced by extreme exhilaration as we
finally set our foot in the dream city. The flight
attendants, house keeping personnel, security,
and even immigration have shown their warm
welcome toward us.
Beforehand, we were reminded to be mindful
once we get there and to cautiously observe
our expenses. We opted not to charter a private
car to pick us up at the airport. There’s a booth
selling bus tickets to Taipei Main station at late
midnight for only NT 115 (PHP 201.25) and easy
cards can be purchased at the MRT station or
7/11 branches. Before leaving the airport, we
ensured ourselves by heading straight to the
airport’s money changer and leasing a pocket
Wi-Fi that costs NT 750 (PHP 1,312) for 4dN3N
to lead us to the magical places we have never
been; use the Google translator in case we get
lost in the middle of our tour. Riding a bus to
Taipei main station is very easy. Outside the
airport, you’ll see the bus terminal and above
are signboards of your chosen destination. The
waiting period for the bus to arrive is not that
long; we had the chance to chitchat with some
tourists before we hopped in.
Jiufen town
Taiwan's MRT
Getting to the Taipei Main Station is only 45
minutes with zero traffic at all. Next ride is
modern cab (based fare is NT 75 = Php 131.25)
and we have only spent 5 mins to finally reach
Shinshin Hotel in Kunming Street (Wanhua
district).
As we wander through the city, we couldn’t
contain our joy, as we never felt the hustle and
bustle in riding MRT. I never felt any sweat on
my neck or forehead because the subway was
built underground, which has 4 levels down
below and fully air-conditioned just like the
airport. Nationals are very blessed for having a
convenient conveyance. It is unchallenging to
shift from one station to another by just following
the route map divided into four lines that were
connected to one another. Each line has the
following stations ahead and represented with
distinctive color as symbols to easily track the
route. People are disciplined in taking MRT or
shuttle bus. They are knowledgeable in lining up
properly; pushing against one another just to hop
in, was never a practice.
When riding a bus, there are stand-alone maps
on the bus stop that you’ll roll over to see the
connecting streets. Never be ashamed of asking
directions incase things went off the road. The
universal language is not common to them,
though; they’re courteous to entertain your
whereabouts and will never leave you clueless
until you get it. The much awaited provincial
tour called as the mountain town Jiufen that has
200 steps going up was packed with teahouses,
souvenir shops and street foods while looking
down at the amazing oceanic and forestry view
from above. Meanwhile, Shifen is known for
sky lantern activity and has the only waterfalls
in Pingxi district, which has a trail going down
and required to cross the long bridge. These
locations and activities we’ve got from Klook: an
application that offer tours, activities and shuttle
bus that will make your vacation more relaxed
and complete. And hey! Traffic is not usual in
Taipei even in the central business district. How
cool was that?
Lifestyle
Ximending
Taipei’s laidback lifestyle is an attraction to many. Locals lives were balanced
despite modernization of society. Shops are conveniently located from your
place; Admirable healthy lifestyle by using bikes as a personal transportation;
Food hubs were diverse yet inexpensive; People are educated by simply
respecting the rule of law; Carrying of signature bag by ordinary people
anywhere is not a threat from them; Crime rate is exceptionally low; Public
transport is great and fast while private vehicle is not much needed; Nightlife
is present but doesn’t feel lively outside the bar; Outdoor activities like hiking
and trekking are very much loved and can be reached by public transport;
Some areas are free from traffic; People can have multiple jobs; Trash on the
ground is tidy up right away; Senior citizens are still active in volunteering the
work.
Teahouses of Jiufen
Skylanterns in Shifen
Culture
The dominant religions in Taiwan are Buddhism and Taoism with above
average in the population, and mostly, dialects being used are Hokkien and
Chinese mandarin. Individuals in Taipei are holding their values much deeply,
by handing over the things with both hands as a sign of courtesy. When locals
of Jiufen offered you a dash of sample authentic tea, whether you buy it or
not, accept it. It disrespects them when tourist ignores what suppose to be
handed at them. The Taiwanese tea culture is relevant as well, you can see
mushroom of hillside teahouses in the old street of Jiufen. Aside from the
fact it will boost your mood, it is also a form of reminiscing and practicing its
roots - the traditional Chinese tea culture. According to our Tour guide Ms.
Mae, “Jiufen was once hailed as the richer locale in contrast to Taipei City”.
Backstory, the island was producing gold and multiple discoveries happened
until such time came in, further development had to stop when Taiwan
became under Qing rule. In Shifen, locals draft their wishes to the lantern
and let it fly into the sky; concluded as a way to pass your desires to the Gods
above. In Ximending, we’ve observed that locals were influenced by Japanese
pop culture: Big LCD billboards, Fashion shops, music, cuisines, and pubs
surrounded the district just like in Shibuya.
Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall
Taipei at Night
Food Stops!
Food is life in Taiwan! If you are on a tight budget, head on to Ximending
or Jiufen with hundreds of options to choose from for as low as NT35 (Php
61.75). Never leave the city without trying the big serving of authentic spicy
beef noodle soup that is tender and juicy for only NT 95 (PHP 166.25). To
satisfy your sugar cravings, try these lovely desserts, price starts at NT55
(96.25): Fruity Shave Ice Cream, Sugar-coated fruits on a stick, and Bingsu
are very much common in the area. You can find a lot at Wanghu District and
Ximending Station and even beside our hotel. We never deprived ourselves
of trying an affordable international dish at least once. Faye and I went to PS
Bubu Café, and we tried their best selling creamy seafood carbonara, and
chunky mushroom risotto for NT 270 (PHP472). Don’t forget to bring home
freshly baked pastries with whipped custard cream on top from Gakuden for
only NT 20 (PHP 35).
More Places to Visit
Mostly, tourist attractions require trekking and hiking— Jiufen and Shifen
tour is a perfect example to this. Avoid combining itineraries with extreme
adventure and your energy level might fall down. Here are the list: Taipei zoo,
a well-maintained wildlife, keeper of real life huggable pandas and adorable
koalas are waiting for you; Chiang-kai-chek Memorial hall, a tall monument
in between of gigantic temples was built in memory of the former President
republic of China; National Taiwan University, one of the ranked universities
and location used in Meteor Garden shoot; Gondola ride, a hike in the hills of
Maokong Station and relish the sightseeing downwards in crystal cabins—
just ready your heart and conquer your fear; Taipei 101, the skyscraper center
will give you more experience in crystal floors if you wish to pay the entrance
and reach the peak; Elephant Mountain, a short trail, yet tiring activity but
definitely worth your weary when you see the bright lights of entire Taipei
city; PS Bubu, a car themed cute café will give you a fangirling moment of Dao
Ming Si and San Chai’s first date location; Ximending, known as the Shibuya
of Taipei, offers an array of street foods, shops, cafés, nightlife and many
more to mention. Going to these places never felt hassle at all; transportations
are outstanding and google map was accurate.
Mendokoro Ramenba
Has Found its new Home in BGC
Text & Photos by: Eden Morales of UncoveringEden.com
Mendokoro Ramenba has taken Makati by storm,
marking itself on the number one spot as the best
ramen place in the said metropolis.
And just this June, Mendokoro Ramenba has found a
new home in Bonifacio Global City—same taste, same
flavour in a different location.
It’s the latest talk-of-the-town in the concrete jungle.
People anticipated its opening so much that every
time I go there, endless line of people stand both
inside and outside the ramen house.
For a year now, I have been a frequent customer
of Mendokoro Ramenba. I endure the hassle of
commuting from a different town to Makati City just
to have a taste of heaven. And now that it's here in
a city nearer to where I currently reside, of course, I
wouldn’t miss the opportunity to visit it.
Gyoza
Shoyu Ramen
On a Saturday, June 2nd, Mendoro Ramenba’s second
day, I dropped by the flocked restaurant. As expected,
it’s easier to get seats when there’s no office lunch
hour madness. Numerous people are lining up, but the
service is fast and efficient, that I got in in less than 5
minutes.
Tantanmen Ramen
I ordered my favourite, Tantanmen Ramen with an
extra tamago. This has been my staple order. My
friend ordered Shoyu Ramen, which honestly, would
be my second choice. We ordered 2 pairs of gyoza to
munch on to while waiting for the main course. Other
patrons (who happened to be my friends) told me to
try out Super Chashu. Maybe I will try it the next time
I go here to dine.
The gyoza is meticulously placed in a long, shiny
ceramic plate. The minced meat is enclosed in
a delicate wrap. This snack is perfect with the
condiment served alongside it.
The order was served after 5 minutes. The steaming
hot ramen was placed in a granite-coloured bowl. It’s
orange-yellowish broth looks almost golden in contrast
of the dark container. And the piece of vegetable in
the center looks like a castle adrift in the middle of a
moat.
The broth tastes a little sweet and salty at first—
maybe because of the super rich cream infused in it—
but the aftertaste is a tad spicy. I am into spicy food
and whenever I sweat when eating only means it’s I am
having a very transcendental experience.
And the meat is just the cherry on top. The minced
meat is easy to chew and is so tender, eating it is
almost effortless.
On the other hand, Shoyu Ramen, another renowned
flavour, is topped with thick meat, bamboo shoots
(menma) and cut spring onions. The colour in
comparison to tantanmen is a lot paler. But don’t let it
fool you as its broth is as rich as the other.
This ramen is on the salty side but is just enough to
make you eat every noodle and sip the broth ‘til its dry.
Once you cut the meat in pieces, the oil comes out of
it and the taste just gets a lot juicier.
To top it all off—the egg; Once the yolk’s liquified
goodness is mixed on both ramen—just takes it to a
different level of a gastronomic experience.
That’s how amazing Mendokoro Ramenba’s food
is. The fast and apt pace of all things makes the
experience so spontaneous—matched with heavenly
moments of unadulterated and sinful food indulgence
will make you write this ramen house on top of your
go-to places in the whole Metro.
YSA Skin & Body
Experts' Bella Mask
Written by: Lara Toldanes
One of the top priorities of millennials nowadays
is their skin care routine, however, due to stress,
pollution, and other triggering factors, many find it
hard to fight off acne. If creams and facial cleanser
can’t help you with these irritating acne and pimples
any longer, it would be better to visit skin care centers
that is equipped with technologies and will give you an
acne free skin.
Acne has been my problem since I was in high school.
I have an oily type of skin which is more prone to
have acne and pimples. Since creams and different
regimens don’t work on my skin anymore, I decided to
try Bella Mask at YSA Skin and Body Experts.
Bella Mask is a Light Emitting Diode Therapy, it is pain
free and can be used to treat acne, photo damage,
fine lines, wrinkles, and for Photo Rejuvenation.
The process will take 30 minutes and right after the
treatment the effect will be already visible. You can
see that the acne is less inflated and it already dried
up!
After washing your face, the skin care specialist will
apply a face mask on your skin to detoxify for ten
minutes. Upon removing the face mask you can feel
some tingling sensations on area where there are
pimples which means that it absorb the components
of the face mask. A moisturizer will then be applied
along with a steam to help the skin absorb better.
Then after this, they will use a tool to “suction” the
dead skins. There will be no redness and visible
peeling and this procedure is also painless.
As for the pricking part, the skin specialist who treated
my skin give me a fore warning on which part will be
painful, such as the jaws where bones are visibly on
tap. A cold hammer will be used after the pricking to
close the pores of your skin.
After all these procedures, the Bella Mask will be
laid on your face. It will emit light that will dry up the
acne. Bella Mask emit two light, one is for anti-acne
and the other for is anti-aging. The blue light is for the
anti-aging and the pink light is for the anti-acne. If you
want the anti-acne and anti-aging, then the 30-minute
process will be divided into two.
The YSA skin care specialist are very friendly and very
informed regarding the service that they offer. My
skin specialist, Ms. Jeffanie is very accommodating
and friendly. She explains every procedure and
accommodates my inquiries.
YSA Skin and Body Expert is one of the pioneers in
the aesthetic medicine. They provide state of the art
products, machines, and technology. For the past
20 years, their passion to make people happy and
confident, they thrive to continuously provide quality,
proven effective treatments and products to help
beautify and change lives.
Emerged through the classical savor of Philippine
Entertainment scene, stars radically reinvent
themselves for the methodical flow of the industry.
Hence, newbie stars boldly outstrip the present
standards, endured with their deep-seated sway and
spirited competence.
This month's Village Pipol speaks the promising
weight of every dream, fastening through the symbolic
analogy of fame, endurance and success. One of
GMA Network’s newest Primetime Princesses, Kyline
Alcantara embodies the glaring beauty and fine talent
within her generation. The 15-year-old Kambal, Karibal
star is exquisite in terms of her own definition of
modified brand as an actress and a singer.
She is strongly equipped and loudly plausible.
Since the start of her phenomenal portrayal as the
‘overindulged’ Cheska, Kyline expressively resurrects
the exhausted formula of kontrabidas. Moreover, her
impeccable acting prowess brought different flavor
to primetime series with her adjacent antagonistic
approach, gripping outside the value of generic and
tangled range.
“Kontrabida role has been my dream role ever since and
so portraying Cheska is like putting a big check on my
bucket list,” she shared.
Kyline possesses the heartfelt connection of both
sensitivity and heartfelt panning, which is finely, knitted
inside her every character’s persona.
She is sincere, sensational and gracefully refined
through her own goals for her craft.
“I’ve always wanted to become an actress. When I was
three, I used to act in front of the mirror. I used to cry,
laugh, dance and stuff like that in front of the mirror
kaya feeling ng parents ko baliw ako. Kidding aside!
They eventually supported me with what I wanted,” she
stated.
Unlike any other actress of her age, Kyline is remarkable
and dignified with flair and intensity.
“I’m living my dream role now as a kontrabida. But,
if there’s one more role that I really wanted is that to
become a kontrabida na medyo action star. Growing up,
I really wanted to do some action stunts since I’m more
of the boyish type than the kikay one. So, I really love to
have a role na gagawa ng mga action stunts. That would
be really exciting,” she pronounced with excitement.
Considered as one of GMA Network’s future biggest
stars, Kyline constantly redefines the complexity of
the current formula, melting outside the industry’s
unwarranted false tales.
She is inspiringly modest and distinctively unparalleled,
gracefully representing the fragile reborn of modern
leading lady.
“Nag-uumpisa pa lang po ako sa career ko. I know I have
to do my best every time. Sa ngayon masaya po ako
na madami ako napapasaya at sa tinatakbo ng career
ko sobrang thankful po ako sa Kapuso network and
sa sobrang warm na pagtanggap po nila sa akin,” she
emphasized.
Blended with her raw and inviting charisma, Kyline
snaps the contemporaries while painting newfangled
showcase of her stripe. However, despite her impressive
reception, bashers are still muddling on the corner.
“I deal with bashers by learning the art of deadma.
Starting in the business at a young age and as
kontrabida na din during that time, I learned that you
can't please everybody basta ang importante is to do
your job and deliver it very well,” she stated.
As a young actress, Kyline daringly explore the
perplexed horizon of the countless possibilities.
She is aspiring and convincing, cutting from the same
cloth of superlatives.
“Hopefully in 10 years time I would still be in the
business. Also, pangarap ko po sana na during that time
ay may bagong artista na papasok and she would say
na, 'Pangarap ko na masampal ako ni Kyline Alcantara'
kasi sa ganun alam ko na I did something right. Kasi
ganun din po ako before, sinasabi ko na pangarap ko na
Soriano,” she shared.
“I would also like to work with Ate Marian Rivera. Kasi
every time na nakikita ko siya, na-i-is-starstruck pa din
ako. It would be another check on my bucket [list] if I
will work with her,” she further revealed.
She is more than her kontrabida roles.
She is fluidly imposing and expectantly fiery, clasping
with her merit as an artist through asset and grit.
She is the star who is fearlessly emerging to the
unparalleled world of showbiz.
Kyline is limitless and unshackled.
“I’m just the simple girl who wants the simple things.
Definitely hindi ako kontrabida off-cam," she ended.
ou may know her from The Voice Teens,
but Isabela Vinzon has a lot more going for
Yher than just being part of the talent show’s
first season. The 16-year old showcased her
ability during the blind auditions with the song
Feeling Good, making coach Bamboo and coach
Sharon turn their chairs. Isabela, or Lala for short,
ultimately chose to be part of Team Kawayan. She
competed until the grand finals and came out as
the first runner-up. She is now more productive
than ever in expanding her horizons as an artist.
Lala has released a single called Right Now,
which she said explains how fragile love is and
how you have to love someone while they’re still
there. She also collaborated with British Pop
Rock band New Hope Club when they visited the
Philippines for a mall show. They worked on the
band’s song Fixed. Recently, she released another
single.
“It’s a collaboration with Alvin Chung, a Malaysian
singer and actor,” Lala said enthusiastically. “I’m
so lucky to be part of the song kasi matagal nang
project ito ng MCA na makipag-collab ang mga
Filipino artists sa international artists. Our single
We Got This is very pop and very cheerful, iba
siya sa mga kinakanta kong kanta. Hindi siya
kagaya ng mga country rock na kinakanta ko
madalas. It’s pop and groovy and I really love it.”
Lala is also currently part of a segment in ASAP
called ASAP G, and she shared her experience
with transferring from ASAP Jambayan to ASAP
G.
“I was part of ASAP Jambayan, an acoustic
group. Nung nag-transfer ako sa ASAP G, it was
really an adjustment for me kasi I went from
from acoustic to sing and dance. Nag-adjust
ako sa mga dancing, sa prod naming, and
new music, new people. Pero it was really fun.
Nakaka-miss din syempre yung mga nakasama
ko noon, nagkikita-kita parin naman kami pero
hindi na lang kami nasa iisang rehearsal. Yun
nga, you have to learn how to adjust sa showbiz,
paiba-iba yung nakakasama natin. For ASAP
G, super fun ngayon ng group namin kasi puro
teens kami and malaki-laki ang fanbase ng mga
teens and millennials ngayon so I’m really happy
to be part of ASAP G.”
Lala is very bubbly and easy to talk to. She has
an innocence to her, as well an obvious sense
of humility. The young artist exhibits a pleasing
personality that will surely captivates those she
crosses paths with. She has a certain glimmer in
her eye as she explained what else she wanted
to do in the future.
“Siguro, I want to direct films, and to do action
films. For the action films, I want to both direct
and star in them. And I want to write more
songs. I’ll be releasing my own song very soon I
hope and sana magkaroon pa ako ng chance na
malabas ko yung pagiging artist ko,” she said.
She also had a message for her fans, and those
who continually show their support for her.
“Thank you so much for supporting me, without
my fans, wala ako ngayon dito. Kahit naguumpisa
pa lang ako, step by step, they’re still
there to support and lagi nila akong tinuturing
na pamilya. Inaalam nila ang lahat ng tungkol
sa akin at natutuwa ako kasi mas marami silang
alam kaysa sa akin tungkol sa sarili ko,” she said,
before giving a hearty laugh.
Fashion Stylist & Designer
Chynna Mamawal
Fleur Blanche
Chynna Mamawal's Bold Bridal Collection
Written by: Althea Kalalo
he fashion industry has seen various
advancements throughout the years. Designers
Thave been more experimental and daring with
their creations, thinking outside the box when the
opportunity presents itself. One person who isn’t
afraid to take risks is Chynna Mamawal. This budding
designer has the drive and vision to make an impact on
the fashion industry.
Her latest collection is called Fleur Blanche,
translating to white flower in French. White
flowers served as her inspiration, and it was heavily
incorporated in all her creations for the collection.
“I was just taking a walk and I saw pretty flowers. I
thought to myself, I want to make a collection with
white flowers,” she said.
Fleur Blanche features stylish suits for the gentlemen.
Chynna deviates from the typical black suit and
presents suits of different colors. There is something
for everyone, from a royal blue suit with a regal feel
to a rich maroon suit that can make any man look
sharp and collected. The suits were also paired up
in different ways, such as a pale tan suit with a black
turtle neck and a plaid suit with a red tie.
“Each piece is unique. Every piece I make has its
own character. And while making it, the feeling of
excitement to see the final output is the best part for
me,” Chynna shared.
The collection also features stunning wedding
gowns for the ladies. What is so remarkable about
these gowns is how detailed they are. You see
embellishments in the finest places, such as the
straps of the gowns or the edges of the dresses’
skirt. Chynna’s gowns put a twist to classic wedding
gowns and makes them more modern. Each gown
has a different wow factor to it; one gown stands
out because of the feathers that move naturally with
the model, while the other stands out because of
the white flowers that cover its bodice. The pièce de
résistance of Chynna’s collection is a gown that glows,
quite literally. Its skirt has numerous lights attached to
it, making sure that all eyes will be on whoever wears
it.
“I want to redefine Philippine Fashion by encouraging
Filipinos to be more accepting of the latest styles and
to not be too conservative or afraid to try new styles.
As you could see in my pieces, they are not the usual
wedding gowns you see here (in the country),” Chynna
said after the fashion show.
As for aspiring designers, Chynna’s advice was
rooted on passion and hard work. “If you want to be
a designer, I suggest you be really passionate about
what you do. It’s not easy being a designer. Some
people think it’s just all about the glitz and glam. Being
a designer is all about hard work and putting yourself
out there. This industry is a cut throat industry, and
it’s hard. If you’re a newbie, I suggest you work for
someone else first. That’s what I did, and that’s where
I got my connections, learnings, and experience,”
she concluded, giving a warm smile that showed her
optimism for the those who are yet to become fashion
designers.
T
Hereditary:
his movie is not for the faint of heart. This is the
first thing you need to know about Ari Aster’s
Hereditary. It tells the story of the passing of
Ellen, and how her daughter’s family deals with the
loss. We are introduced to Ellen’s daughter, Annie,
who gives a eulogy for her mother despite being
detached to her.
Annie has two children – Peter and Charlie. We get the
sense that Ellen was estranged from her daughter’s
family, save perhaps from her grand-daughter, Charlie.
There is a certain peculiarity with Charlie that drives
the film, one that leaves a lasting impression even
when she is not on screen. As the film unravels, the
family must face ominous truths that Ellen has kept
from them for so long.
The strength of this film lies in the aura of uncertainty
it creates. You go into the cinema expecting the film
to go down one path, but it defies expectations and
goes down another. In making the audience unsure of
what really is happening with Annie and her family,
it creates a feeling of dread that makes its tactics to
VP music
A Fine Example of
Horror Done Right
scare more effective. It doesn’t rely on cheap jump
scares or overused horror tropes.
Perhaps another thing that makes Hereditary unlike
most films is its capability to bring out fears that are
very real. Majority of the film is rooted in situations
that, if worse comes to worst, can happen. You
see what happens to the characters, and you can’t
help but empathize. You root for them, meaning if
something horrible happens to them then to an extent,
you feel it too. It takes a lot for a horror film to sink its
claws onto you and make you stay on the edge of your
seat for its entire duration.
The film is a dark film, both figuratively and literally.
Most of pivotal scenes are shot in near darkness, and
you start to wonder if your eyes are playing tricks on
you. The music is spot on, as well as the intervals of
silence that seem to drag on forever. The performance
of Toni Collette as Annie is a big factor with how
successful the film is in creating the environment of
madness it seems to thrive in.
The ending of the film leaves something to be desired.
For all of the tension the film has during the first half,
the ending feels a bit flat. It gives a good explanation
for the events that transpired, but something about
its execution is lackluster compared to the rest of the
film. Still, Hereditary is a rare innovation, one of the
few horror movies that genuinely gives good scares in
more ways than one.
It is difficult to talk about how well-crafted Hereditary
is without talking about essential details of the plot,
so the best way to understand more about the hype
around this film is to watch it yourself. Know, however,
that you have been warned; certain images from the
film may stay with you even hours after watching its
credits roll.
