The Duomo <strong>in</strong> Florence<br />
DAY 1 London to Paris, France (option also to<br />
jo<strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong> Paris). We cross the English Channel by ferry<br />
and pass by the battlefields of World War I on our<br />
way to Paris. After d<strong>in</strong>ner we head <strong>in</strong>to “The City of<br />
Lights” for a spectacular ‘City Lights’ tour. (D)<br />
DAY 2 Paris. Today we have plenty of free time to<br />
explore the sights of Paris at our own pace. Tonight,<br />
after a typical Parisian d<strong>in</strong>ner, take an optional Se<strong>in</strong>e<br />
River cruise or see one of the oldest cabaret shows<br />
<strong>in</strong> Paris. (B,D)<br />
DAY 3 Paris to Swiss Alps, Switzerland.<br />
This morn<strong>in</strong>g we depart Paris and travel through<br />
the French countryside to stunn<strong>in</strong>g Switzerland.<br />
We head to Lauterbrunnen, our alp<strong>in</strong>e hideaway<br />
at the base of the famous Jungfrau and Schilthorn<br />
mounta<strong>in</strong>s. (B,D)<br />
DAY 4 Swiss Alps. Relax and enjoy the<br />
breathtak<strong>in</strong>g scenery of the glacial valley of<br />
Lauterbrunnen. A real highlight of our visit here is<br />
an optional trip up the awesome, snow-covered,<br />
4000m high Jungfrau mounta<strong>in</strong> by railway. (B,D)<br />
DAY 5 Swiss Alps to Florence, Italy. Today we<br />
travel via the historic city of Pisa before arriv<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong><br />
Florence, burst<strong>in</strong>g with artistic treasures and known<br />
as an outdoor museum. (B,D)<br />
DAY 6 Florence. This morn<strong>in</strong>g we take a walk<strong>in</strong>g<br />
tour with our local guide to see the Ponte Vecchio,<br />
Duomo Cathedral, Uffizi Gallery and Santa Croce –<br />
burial place of Michelangelo. (B)<br />
DAY 7 Florence to Rome. To the fasc<strong>in</strong>at<strong>in</strong>g hilltop<br />
town of Orvieto, famous for its w<strong>in</strong>e. Then the<br />
lively city of Rome, packed with ancient ru<strong>in</strong>s and<br />
religious artefacts. Our walk<strong>in</strong>g tour is a great way<br />
to get acqua<strong>in</strong>ted with this famous city. (B,D)<br />
DAY 8 Rome. A chance to visit the Vatican this<br />
morn<strong>in</strong>g where we have the opportunity to see the<br />
Sist<strong>in</strong>e Chapel. In the afternoon there is free time to<br />
visit Rome’s ancient monuments or go shopp<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong><br />

is also the chance to visit Vatican City and take a<br />
guided tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sist<strong>in</strong>e<br />

DAYS 3-4 Rome to Venice. We visit Verona, home<br />
of Romeo and Juliet, before head<strong>in</strong>g to enchant<strong>in</strong>g<br />

DAYS 5-6 Venice to Salzburg, Austria. We head<br />
