Plenty of Free Time
At Topdeck, we always remember that no two passengers are
the same. Because of this, all of our trips seek to strike a balance
between included sightseeing and free time, which gives you the
flexibility to make the most out of your precious time away.
By giving you as much free time as possible, you will be able to
enjoy your trip at your own pace.
Hassle Free Travelling
Hands up who likes struggling with a heavy backpack at a train
or bus station? Anyone love the knot in their stomach as they
worry about whether their bag will still be in the luggage rack at
journey’s end? How about the long walk while you try and find your
accommodation? No takers…? We didn’t think so!
At Topdeck we are experts at taking the hassle out of your travel.
We have checked out the accommodation so there are no hidden
surprises, our vehicles are chosen to be the most suitable for the
area they are travelling through and when it comes to seeing those
famous sights rest assured that no-one will give you more fascinating
information or organise better excursions than our Trip Leaders.
Our philosophy could best be described as ‘we do the work, you
enjoy the sights!’
Fellow Travellers
Sharing your travel experiences with like-minded people is one
of the best parts of the journey. With all of our passengers aged
between 18 and 39, you’ll be surrounded by soon-to-be friends with
the same aim in mind, enjoying a trip of a lifetime.
If you’re travelling alone it’s no problem, a large percentage of
our passengers do and it’s a great way to meet people from many
different parts of the world. Better still, it costs no extra, as we don’t
have costly single supplements - instead you’ll be matched up with
others of the same gender to share with. Some roads are not meant
to be travelled alone!

At Topdeck we know how expensive it is to
travel Europe. Anyone who’s crunched the
numbers can tell you that it’s impossible

Join in Paris or Amsterdam
If you would rather skip London you can fly into Paris or
Amsterdam and join many of our trips there.
Our crew is really what Topdeck is all about and they are what help
to make us unique. We see them as ‘our people, your mates’ and
they will share their passion and knowledge of Europe with you,
giving you a unique insight into every destination you visit.
Our training is no picnic: an intense, industry-renowned seven-week
course ensures the team is knowledgeable and professional. And while
the course has its challenges, it results in a group of highly motivated
staff that can’t wait to share their passion for travel with you.
Our crew are there to do all they can to help you realise your dreams,
sort of like very knowledgeable mates who are with you every step
of the way. Your Driver will ensure you travel between each amazing
destination safely, seeing some remarkable European scenery on the
way. Your Trip Leader will provide you with interesting information
and valuable insights, whilst ensuring that the trip runs efficiently.
In fact, most passengers stay in touch with their crew well after the
trip is over, catching up on Facebook and exchanging photos of their
adventure together. Oh, and as your mates, they don’t expect any tips.

Scott Smyth – Trip Leader
Scott is a Trip Leader from Scotland (as his name suggests!) and has a
passion for showing people all the hidden (and not so hidden) treats
that Europe has to offer. He loves travelling in winter because of the
short queues at amazing attractions like the Louvre in Paris and Uffizi
Gallery in Florence which you wait for hours to get into in summer. He
also loves the charming winter markets where you can warm up with
a delicious mulled wine. His best winter moment was a snowball fight
outside the Colosseum in the first snowfall in Rome for 25 years – fun
but surreal!
Mark ‘Guppy’ Alsop – Driver
Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, Guppy worked as a Structural
Engineer prior to moving to Europe. Having had the time of his life on
a Topdeck trip as a passenger, he decided on a slight career change,
got his coach licence and now goes on more trips than he ever
bargained for!
Guppy loves hearing people’s reactions to the incredible scenery as
they drive through the snow covered Swiss Alps. Celebrating Bastille
Day in France with around 750,000 other people is one of Guppy’s
favourite European travelling moments. Saying goodbye at the end of
any trip isn’t. (awwww!)
