Festive Escape

DAY 1 London to Cologne, Germany. This
morning we cross the English Channel and begin
our drive through France, into Germany towards
Cologne. Famous for its Christmas markets and
stunning Gothic Cathedral, we will see the sights of
the city on a walking tour before dinner. (B,D)
DAY 2 Cologne. Today is a free day to explore. Visit
the Cathedral (Dom) or take a stroll around the
Christmas markets. Don’t forget to try a glass of
Glühwein too! (B)
DAY 3 Cologne to Baden-Baden. Leaving
Cologne we head further south to the foothills of
the Black Forest. Known for its beauty, Baden-
Baden has been a spa town for over 2000 years.
Once we arrive our Trip Leader will take us on an
orientation tour of the town. (B)
DAY 4 Baden-Baden, Tubingen & Hohenzollern
Castle. Waking up among picturesque scenery,
we depart on a Christmas day drive stopping
at Tubingen, a University town and head on to
Hohenzollern Castle. Built on top of a mountain
855m high, the castle has spectacular views. We
then drive through the Black Forest back to
Baden-Baden to enjoy a Christmas dinner. (B,D)
DAY 5 Baden-Baden to Berlin. Today we drive
to the capital city Berlin. On our driving tour tonight
learn about the history of the city and see the
remains of the Berlin Wall at the East Side Gallery. We
finish the day with a delicious dinner. (B,D)
DAY 6 Berlin. Today is a free day! Maybe join our
optional Third Reich walking tour or a nightlife
tour of the city. With the array of museums, shops,
Christmas Markets and nightlife available you will be
spoilt for choice! (B)
DAY 7 Berlin – Amsterdam, Netherlands. We
depart Berlin today and head to the vibrant city
of Amsterdam. Tonight we head to the heart of
the city to check out Dam Square and take a walk
around the famous Red Light District! (B)
